XL Pipeline

Not really accurate.

Gulf coast refineries, specifically, need a mix of heavy sour oil to operate at peak efficiency. Venezuelan refineries cannot process their own heavy sour crude. So a lot of Venezuelan oil used to go to Galveston to get mixed and then refined. Also, a lot of light sweet oil went from the Gulf to Venezuela in order for them to process their own crude. Since Venezuelan oil has come largely off the market these refineries are using more Northern Ural crude, which is similarly sour to replace this VZ oil.
The sour crude is is expensive to refine. The US fuel standards require low sulfur. So what you are saying about me not being accurate has no standing. Venezuela is refine their own sour crude.

OK.

The reaction was excessive for that sort of quibble

Now we get the real reason. You wanted to Trump all over him.
???

I was laughing at the obvious falsehood of the OP. Plain and simple. However, POE or not, too many RWers believe these lies.

If Canada had started building their own refineries when that filthy tar sands oil was discovered, they would have been completed by now - in fact, generations ago - and been shipping refined refined crude oil products anywhere in the world, from their own deep water port in Vancouver B.C.

At the cost of our environment, and violations of native lands.

Dozens of factors are involved in this, and we already pay far too little for gas compared to most of the developed world. Our gas should be twice the price, and perhaps we wouldn't waste so much, and pollute so much.

This is the bullshit propaganda of the fossil fuel fools.

What further problems would be incurred by increasing North American production? There's another side to this coin.

No, it certainly does not.

Isn't it amazing that so many idiots believe that piping filthy tar sands oil 2,600 miles through our heartland is somehow a practical use of infrastructure, instead of piping it 300 miles to Vancouver? And yet when sane adults suggest that we pipe fresh water from the locations in the country that historically have a glut, to the places that historically are under drought, nobody thinks this is practical? Why do you think that is?

If you want to create pipeline building jobs in this country, try addressing the coming water shortage problems. We should have been recharging our aquifers generations ago, and would have been, but for the idiots who are afraid of federal infrastructure programs.
You response is COMPLETELY irrelevant. Biden is today's problem.

That's not a counterpoint to my post. In fact no real counter point to any point I made. Investment in renewables reduces our dependence on oil - both foreign and domestic, because you see, the thing about renewables is - THEY'RE RENEWABLE !!! See the difference?
No .... I suspect not.
And what could possibly be more laughable than an alleged rebuttal from Americans for Prosperity - A KOCH BROTHERS stink tank?!!?

🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

Aaahhh - we laughed and laughed and laughed at that one. Do you think they may have more than a vested interest in fossil fuel profits? Hmm? Thanks for the guffaws. Like I said, not on Biden at all.

No response to how the price at the pump might be mitigated by oil companies themselves - were they not making MORE THAN A TRILLION DOLLAR$ - A YEAR - IN PROFITS !??!
No response to the financial impact of fossil fuel products on the environment - nor the ever rising costs of cleanup.
No response to oil lobbying money owning our politicians.
No response to the health impacts on our citizens, their children, their grandchildren . . . . .
So many invented issues based on questionable data, sure looks like you've 100% been lead astray from reality. Small wonder.

You complain about 'No response'? How about a response to this:
Just another false story revealed. They tell us we spend too much on fossil fuel subsidies but what are we doing for renewables.

We are experiencing the fall out from the New Green Deal push right now, essentially an attack on all petroleum production, yet, the majority of the economy runs on this energy source.
Fuel costs increasing every day, increasing the cost of everything, food, heat, electricity, all products and services which are move or provided by fuel.
Hell, US farmers are being priced out of fertilizer, so expect a decrease, if not a collapse, of the food supply, as the seeds are as important as the fertilizer, reduced output without fertilizer.
(LNG is the #1 component required to produce fertilizer, and Russia exports about 30% of the world's fertilizer supply)

The New Green technologies simply don't have the market penetration nor the impact to curb this runaway inflation, which makes everyone, especially the bottom 1/2 of the economy, poor.
Typical of leftist / progressive / liberal ideology, let's make it so that everyone is equally poor and destitute.
All this is likely to soon spark a recession, like the mid-70's oil embargo, if not a depression which will in fact look like the 1930's, the last time leftist / progressive / liberal ideology took control at the federal level.
#BidensOilCrisis, #BidensEnergyCrisis, #GreenNewDealIdiocy, #ImNowBidenPoor

A prudent response would be to make the US energy independent again, removing the leverage Russia as well as other tyrant nations have over the US via their oil exports, by removing all barriers and delays from oil extraction, as well as providing some reassurance to the energy industries as to some stability and sanity in their regulations rather than what has been inflicted on them from day #1 of the Biden administration.

Of course, Biden is more afraid of the leftist / progressive / liberals with whom he made a Faustian Bargain to get elected than making an oil deal with Russia, Iran, Venezuela tyrants.

The leftist / progressive / liberal public policies and foreign policies are just totally ****ed up beyond all comparison to just about everything else.

The longer and deeper this self-inflicted economic damage continues, the deeper the hole, the longer it'll be before this same public / foreign policy idiocy will resurface.

Thanks, you assholes. Didn't want it. Didn't need it. Damaged because of it. Vote anything but Democrat, at least your vote won't go to support the absolute know-nothing insane.

You too it seems.
100% correct im in that group, if you disagree feel free to factually prove otherwise, you wont cause you cant as usual LMAO
😂🍿

Were the XL pipeline not stopped by Biden it would have been completed by now. Oil from Canada and North Dakota would be flowing to refineries. Thousands of good paying jobs would have been created. The price of gasoline would be lower. This is the fault of Joe Biden.

What will be happening one year from now? What further problems might there be, that would be avoided by increased Noth American production. That pipeline needs to be completed.

The price of gasoline would have stayed the same before Russia invaded Ukraine. Gas prices went up on February 24. What does that tell you?

Every single one of those completely useless jobs would do nothing but hurt the environment and glorify the oil industry instead of human lives.

Nothing in that post is true.

As you can see above, gas prices have been going up steadily the entire Biden administration. What that tells me is Biden's policies have driven up the prices.

The jobs installing the pipeline are high paying pipe fitter jobs and engineering jobs and they are not useless to those that have them. There is no need to belittle them so. As far as the environment, it is the opposite. What hurts the environment more than a pipeline, is transporting the oil via tanker truck.

No it would not. And that pipeline is not for automobile gas

Another right winger that doesn't understand what the XL Pipeline was going to be used for. Why don't you people ever read up things before spreading lies on here?

It was not stopped it is pumping now.

Tar sands oil can be refined into whatever they decide to refine it into. So yes, adding oil to the marketplace would have affected the price of gasoline.

That pipeline was transporting tar sands to be shipped to other countries, not used here, so no it would not have. Learn what the **** you are talking about before running your pie hole.

It was not stopped it is pumping now.
Yes there is a pipeline already. Dah! I hope you realize that the XL pipeline is needed to add the required capacity. Come on. Don't be lame.

That other pipeline does nor exist. It was never even started.

It is like they just lack the intelligence to research things on their own. They are tools for the right wing propaganda machine. Problem is a lot of Americans believe their bullshit. People like meth teeth are pathetic.

Under Trump gas less than $2, no credit.

Under Biden gas over $4, no blame.

I think this is simple enough to understand.
Pretty simple, that trump did nothing deserving credit, and Biden did nothing deserving blame.

So many invented issues based on questionable data, sure looks like you've 100% been lead astray from reality. Small wonder.
The data is not questionable - the data is merely questioned - by the people whose grotesque power and wealth are the most threatened by the data.
You complain about 'No response'? How about a response to this:
Why should I bother? You still have no response to the points I made.
We are experiencing the fall out from the New Green Deal push right now, essentially an attack on all petroleum production, . . . . .
Unimaginable nonsense. The goal of achieving a net-zero energy grid BY 2035 is having absolutely no measurable impact on today's petroleum production. None whatsoever. Zero. Seriously, what kind of fantasy world do you live in? Who buys this shit?
Fuel costs increasing every day, increasing the cost of everything, food, heat, electricity, all products and services which are move or provided by fuel.
It's time we began to pay the real cost of things.
The New Green technologies simply don't have the market penetration nor the impact to curb this runaway inflation, which makes everyone, especially the bottom 1/2 of the economy, poor.
The great thing about the bottom half of the economy is that they have the least to lose and the most to gain. It's the top of the economy that has the most to lose and will do the most whining, despite the fact that they'll still never miss a meal.
Typical of leftist / progressive / liberal ideology, let's make it so that everyone is equally poor and destitute.
Bullshit.
All this is likely to soon spark a recession, like the mid-70's oil embargo, if not a depression which will in fact look like the 1930's, the last time leftist / progressive / liberal ideology took control at the federal level.
Feel free to continue to ignore the forces that have been shaping our world, right up to the present moment.

Nothing is keep us from being energy independent except the oil companies. That's it.
Of course, Biden is more afraid of the leftist / progressive / liberals with whom he made a Faustian Bargain to get elected than making an oil deal with Russia, Iran, Venezuela tyrants.
There was no Faustian bargain. Biden is a Centrist who won the nomination because the overwhelming preponderance of Democrats are NOT leftists! The left came along for the ride to the White House because the alternative was Trump - which was not a real alternative for any thinking adult. Biden doesn't owe his tenure in the White House to the left - Biden owes his time in the White House because Trump's right wing-nuts went completely off the ****ing rails! . . . and the bulk of the American electorate would not have it. Lucky us!
The leftist / progressive / liberal public policies and foreign policies are just totally ****ed up beyond all comparison to just about everything else.
Feeble propaganda.
The longer and deeper this self-inflicted economic damage continues, the deeper the hole, the longer it'll be before this same public / foreign policy idiocy will resurface.

You can repeat it all you want, but no oil would have been added to the marketplace. What part of shipping over seas do you not understand?

Yet Biden is granting more leases than Trump. Do you think simply repeating lies will somehow make them true?
