It's good to see so many Iraq veterans leading the campaign against the Republicans this November!

Great Americans, true patriots! :2usflag:

CHICAGO (AFP) - A US Army helicopter pilot who lost both her legs in Iraq is leading a platoon of Democratic veterans who are taking their opposition to the war to the campaign trail for November 7 elections.

A political novice, Tammy Duckworth, 38, was hand-picked to challenge a previously solidly Republican Congressional seat in the wealthy suburbs of Chicago while she was still learning to walk on her prosthetic legs.

It's a new tactic for a party long seen as weak on national security and one which is resonating with an electorate that is frustrated with the way the current administration has handled the war in Iraq.

Democrats have enlisted 61 veterans to run for Congress -- five of whom have served in Iraq -- and scores more to help out with the campaign...

Yea, but the Bushneviks are going to accuse them ALL of "cut and run", just like they did with the vet who left both legs on the battlefield.

Duckworth is a true American hero. Her accusers are pathetic, just pathetic.

Moderator's Warning:
Nothing here is breaking news, Duckworth has been running for months. Moved to election forum.
