Would you vote for Palin if she ran for President?

Not a chance.
Its time to end the fascist theocracy. Not expand it. :2wave:

I don't really know, I'd lean towards no because she doesn't strike me as someone who would line up with my political platform. But a lot of her political platform is unknown. She talks a talk, but is she really small government? For chaining the government to the Constitution? Is she really not just another typical politician? I don't get a real sense about what her political platform is, so without that I can't say for certain if I would or wouldn't. I don't want another version of Bush, I don't want anymore big government, big war, big spending, big brother candidates. I'd definitely need to hear more about her actual political platform and ideology to say anything for certain.

Not a chance.

I could never see putting someone with such little and irrelevant experience in office. Saying her Alaskan executive experience is relevant to the presidency is absurd. Alaska makes up about .25% of the entire country's population, just above Wyoming, Vermont, and North Dakota. To top it all off she only won her 2006 election because the incumbent was a corrupt moron.

To those thinking of supporting McCain. If you're not considering the VP of a ticket as a possible president you're taking quite a gamble.

uhm and Obama is experienced?

The only reason I am voting McCain is because of Palin.

The only reason I am voting McCain is because of Palin.

Hmm....

Palin:
-City Council and Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska (pop. 9,000 - size of my college graduating class) 8 years
-Alaskan oil commission 1 year
-Governor of Alaska 2 years

Obama:
-State Legislature 7 years
-US Senate 4 years
-Helped pass numerous bi-partisan Legislation

Besides her titles and years name something substantial that Palin can apply to the Vice Presidency.

What? He's responsible for what comes out of other peoples' mouths? And if you watch the video, he was clearly a bit put off by the question.

Ignoring the argument eh?

Hellhound said THE LEFT is getting nasty. Here is THE RIGHT getting nasty. If he was so put off by the question, why did he say it was a GOOD QUESTION? Did he tell her that her words were wrong? He laughed. Did he say anything to discourage the use? No. He asked for a "translation." What does translate mean? Keep the meaning but in a different context. If you call someone a word that means "bitch," I'd imagine it's just as bad as being called bitch.

I would have until I found out that she supported teaching creationism in public schools.

Associating with the Alaskan secessionist movement was a plus in my book. But degenerating our science education in theis country would have long term detrimental impact on our nation.

No, the only thing that i like about her is that she energized McCain's base. Other than that I don't really like her. Even though I agree with her on a good number of issues, i just couldn't do it.

Bin Laden knows that Obama like Clinton would surrender in the war on terror..........At least under GWB he is cowering in some cave in Pakistan...........

You forget Navy....that the worst attack on US soil occurred on your hero's watch... while he sat on his ass in a classroom of gradeschool children, completely dumbfound.
And then, rather than go after those responsible, your hero manipulated intelligence to pursue Rumsfields neo-con agenda.

Yeah.....under GWB, Bin Laden is cowering....riiiiight. :doh

And what, among all that, indicates that the governor is bent on enforcing a theocracy?

Like I said before. I think she is made in the same mold as George Bush. She feels she is above the law. On a higher calling. Her theology allows her to dismiss science and reason. The fact that she wants her theology to be taught in public schools along with her record of taking from, and doing for corporations verifies my initial assertion.

I think not responding to my post is "ignoring the argument."
Way to justify your credibility by telling lies.

I responded to your post. You just didn't like the answer. That's not my problem.

And when you become something more than a 50 post wonder around here, then I might take your attacks on my credibility with something more than a snicker at how precious you are. Got that, sparky?

Show me where she wants theology taught in public school. Quotes, budgeting for programs she approved, calls to action, all these things would be acceptable.

Your random, all over the place opining doesn't count. I want something tangible that we can point to that says she is in favor of a theocracy as you people so ridiculously and idiotically keep spewing as a talking point but can't seem to produce the goods to prove.

And as for your assessment of her dealings with corporations, you are either seriously misinformed (at best) or a blatant bald faced liar (at worst).

Now produce something or fold.

Just because you don't like the answers you've got, or can't understand them, doesn't mean I haven't given them.
I know you think your post count makes you somehow superior, and you think it gives you the right to try and act the school yard bully. (Its a common trait of your ilk.) But it don't mean squat to me. Your childish name calling and baseless accusations tells me you're incapable of holding up your end of a logical debate.

So then, you can't produce any evidence to suggests that she presses her personal beliefs in the public arena and have nothing but direct ad hom to present.

No surprise there.

'Creation science' enters the race

GOVERNOR: Palin is only candidate to suggest it should be discussed in schools.

"The volatile issue of teaching creation science in public schools popped up in the Alaska governor's race this week when Republican Sarah Palin said she thinks creationism should be taught alongside evolution in the state's public classrooms."

Care to finish the article with the quote from Palin? Because...that is not what she stated at all.

Actually, here...rather than dance around the topic and wait for you to show some honesty, let me do it for you.

Palin was answering a question from the moderator near the conclusion of Wednesday night's televised debate on KAKM Channel 7 when she said, "Teach both. You know, don't be afraid of information. Healthy debate is so important, and it's so valuable in our schools. I am a proponent of teaching both."

yeah, see the clarification above in my post.
