When Fiona Bloom needed an air conditioner installed in her Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, apartment three weeks ago, she went on Tinder.


The 47-year-old, who has been dating in NYC for the past 20 years, decided to put the app to use after being repeatedly disappointed by the city’s dating pool. “I’ve tried speed dating and all the dating apps, but every time I put my real age, all I get are idiots and losers,” Bloom, a publicist, tells The Post. “I figured, why not make them useful and have them help me around the house?”


So that afternoon, she swiped right on a 40-something bachelor. His default photo featured him wearing overalls and holding a hammer.


“I wasn’t attracted to him, but he was very forthcoming,” she says. She messaged him, saying she was only looking for someone to come over to install her air conditioner, making it very clear it wasn’t a date.


After he came over, opened her window and set up her AC, she said thank you — and promptly kicked him out. He later messaged her to go on a proper date, but she never replied and doesn’t regret it.

I wonder if this would work the other way. What would happen if I Tindered some woman wearing an apron and told her I really needed home baked cookies then kicked her out.......

Not to throw politics into this, but Hillary Clinton is the ultimate example; she rode on Bill's back, piggyback style, until she could claw her way into being a US Senator.

Although I don't think she kicked Bill out, he was probably pretty happy to part company after they left the White House.

Two questions.

If an ugly girl tried this, would it work? I'm guessing not.

And if that's the case...how is this different than whoring out? On both sides. Both the guy and gal should be ashamed.

In my experience cucks are too timid to take advantage of any woman in any way, they are not capable. They are the dog who was kicked too many times, they are Reek (GoT), they have learned that women are in charge, should be in charge, and letting them be in charge is the only way to not get hurt.

That is what I see anyways, as always your mileage may vary.

I didn't say it was honorable. He got played. That approach doesn't work, the guys who do it are fools, she has no notion if he's been kicked around or not.

If a girl asks if you'll buy her a drink and you do it because you think it'll help your chances with her, you're a fool. If she outright tells you "I am not interested and the moment you hand it to me I'm walking away" and you do it anyways... you're not a dog; Dogs get laid, you're a loser beyond helping.

What does what he said have to do with "Men suck?" Just because a man doesn't value a woman he isn't attracted to doesn't mean he sucks. The game is the game, if you're attracted, you swipe right. (Or is it left? I don't use Tinder.) Honor has got NOTHING to do with it.

I think you and I have very different ideas about what it means when a man is considered a dog, in terms of the dating game.

That said, you are right doormats can do no better than get walked over, put a woman on a pedestal and endure friendzones and sexless existences. But whats your point? That's not an argument.

If the mark is an imbecile or has been kicked too many times then the game is to unfair to be conducted. Just as men have an extra duty to not retaliate in kind when a woman hits them because we are usually bigger and can do more damage the woman in this scenario has an extra duty to make sure she does not cause damage to the one who is too stupid or too damaged to withstand her game without damage.

No shame in the game.

Actually, there often should be shame in the games we play. We have mostly decided to not be shamed, so shame no longer works to correct bad behaviour. We all suffer from the failure of shame.

Would I? No. Not terribly interested in using people.

I mean, she was honest... I guess? But obviously his hope was that this weird request was just some sort of stepping stone to a date. I can understand his incredulity towards believing someone was seriously on Tinder looking for people to be free handymen for her.

Just... This is why I don't really care for humanity.
