This simply isn't true.
YOU have no idea how "good" our plan was or even why our insurer dropped it.
I know exactly how good our plan was, because when our plan got dropped (because it didn't meet ACA standards), THE COST OF OUR REPLACEMENT PLAN NEARLY DOUBLED.
We could no longer afford the "Affordable Care Act" health plan so we were forced to go WITHOUT health insurance for nearly a year.
And the irony is that we actually had to pay a PENALTY (on our income taxes) for not being able to afford health care.
Government needs to not interfere between a patient and his/her doctor. When it comes to health care, one size does not fit all
The only way to know if your plan was a good one is how much they would pay if you needed coverage. You don't know it your plan was good or not and a good indication is that a ACA compliant plan doubled your premiums.
Your insurer dropped your plan because they wanted to drop it. The ACA allowed non-compliant plans to continue if the insurers wanted to. They used the ACA as an excuse. The one size that fits all is that all people deserve good coverage for their premium dollar and the assurance that your insurer will not drop you when you get sick.
