would anyone be supportive of Trump being made Speaker of the House

My comment was in response to those suggesting Republicans should move on from Trump.

They won't. They can't.
I've moved on. He won't be reelected, because he would die before taking the oath of office, and the same goes for Speaker. He's done. The "intelligence community" has decreed it, and the Establishment fell into line.

You're suggesting he'd be assassinated, or that his health is bad? Something else?

You may have moved on, Republicans in general have not. His support is slipping but still significant.

Hahahahah Speaker of the House would be waaay the **** too much actual work and attention for his melting brain and body. He'd be dead in a month.

Sure!!.......... Why not????...Trump was an enormously effective president and I see no reason why he would not be a very effective Speaker of the House".....

The coutry is at civil war, our foreign policy was destroyed, he was an enormously effective president?

CULT

LOL, the country was at "civil war" because the Democrats refused to accept the outcome of the 2016 election and engaged in a continuous riot for 4 years. Foreign policy was destroyed before Trump by the Democrat and Republican Party machines, owned and controlled by the warmongering military industrial complex, and you all voted it right back into office when you elected the 50-year politician who was and is in league with the military industrial intelligence complex.

Y'all fell for the propaganda machine, and you're still falling for it.

You can thank the asshat Republican voters who voted for Biden for Trump not being elected again. Had all Republicans voted for Trump, he would have won in a landslide.

He would be killed for sure. That much is obvious. His election was a holocaust for the military-industrial-intelligence complex. Never in my life have I seen such a concerted effort to destroy one man than what started in November 2016 and lasted until he left office. Elected officials and bureaucrats sold themselves out to get him out of office - ethics went out the window. Ethics in journalism - gone. Ethics in law enforcement, gone - and the entire intelligence machine lined up against Trump. Every rumor, every innuendo reported by the media as fact - the most blatantly biased reporting and fact checking and a media whose self-appointed role was to "get Trump" and never stop "getting Trump."

A far bigger blow to the country and "our democracy" came from the anti-Trump forces than from Trump himself. Trump is no picnic, but what the anti-Trump folks did was unbelievable.

I would be all for it. But, the Democrats will get the media out there propagandizing that it is somehow an "assault on demokrasuh" because the "norm" has been for the Speaker to be drawn from the elected members of the House. It would be an outrage to the mainstream media, and they would invent all sorts of proofs and factchecks to declare that Trump can't legally serve in that position, and then, of course, would come the rioting and the screaming-at-the-sky.... the Left will throw a tantrum to make 2016 look like a Love-in and they would immediately call for impeachment proceedings and they would declare it treason to oppose any such effort. LOL

I like it too.

Gingrich achieved the first Republican majority in 50 years but after the honeymoon was over he wasn't able to herd the sheep. Paul Ryan as it turned out was one of the sheep. Trump from outside of the congress is demanding and getting party discipline and when the Republicans take the house it will be the Trump America First MAGA party. There will be few republican sheep left and those that make it past 2022 will be endangered in 2024.
The new Republican majority will be about stopping Biden and growing the majority in 2024. Speaker Trump would be too easy for the Democrat media to demonize. He can hold Republican feet to the fire better from the outside using the bully pulpit he never relinquished supporting Republican candidates and his run or another candidate's run in 2024.

Okay.

Points for not blaming Trump's loss on the Big Lie.
Negative points for calling it "the big lie." It's only the big lie when Trump questions the election. When Hillary did it in 2016, it was just fine - she was allowed to say that Trump cheated, and that Trump and Putin colluded and that he was therefore an "illegitimate President." Every election has people who question the outcome. This was not new. In the Bush elections, the Democrats claimed the Republicans were rigging the Diebold voting machines and that they the Republicans made the ballots confusing to trick Democrats into voting for the wrong person.

The big lie about the big lie is that Trump did anything different than happened before. The reality is, it's just the media hyping up the propaganda, because they're self-appointed protectors of the electorate from itself.

I don't know where the poll is, but no, I would not be supportive.

Team Trump had every opportunity to provide the evidence that fraud existed to an extent that it denied him the 2020 election. They failed, utterly.

To this day Trump refuses to let it go - hence the Big Lie. Whatabouting it does not change the fact that he sought every means available to subvert the will of the majority of America voters, up to and including pressuring his VP to refuse to certify the democratic process. And he continues to hold the GOP hostage with it. The media? The media does not control Trump's words and actions. Only one person does that.

You missed the point. Team Hillary and the Democrats had every opportunity to provide evidence that Trump was an illegitimate President elected because Putin interfered in the election and they failed. They also failed to prove that Trump was an asset of the Russians, and/or a Manchurian candidate. They failed to prove Trump's campaign had contact with a Russian bank in a back channel. They failed to prove that Trump colluded with the Russians. They went on to fail to prove 100 other allegations they made about and against Trump over the course of 4 solid years.

It doesn't matter if Trump failed to provide evidence. So what? None of the politicians provide evidence for half the shit they say. Adam Schiff sat there night after night and CLAIMED outright that he actually HAD EVIDENCE! Evidence we never saw. Ever. To date.

I don't give a **** if he doesn't let it go. Who cares what he does or doesn't "let go?" What do you care?

And anyone who thinks Trump is the first candidate to dare to "use every means available to subvert the will" of the voters is naive at best, but probably lying. It happens every election. Candidates claim fraud -- in 2004 Democrats claimed the ballot machines were rigged, etc. It never ends.

Trump left office on time. It doesn't matter what he says about it.

And, if you care about Trump's words, you should be far more concerned about the Bidens, Bushes, Clintons, Romneys, Obamas, and the rest of the ruling political class that owns this country. Trump was our chance to break AWAY from the neoconservative warmonger, authoritarian monstrosities that we have been saddled with since Eisenhower. He surprised everyone by winning in 2016. They won't let that happen again. And, they will make sure nobody who isn't in there club ever has the chance again either.

And

It's cute you think the Democrat establishment ain't in The Club.

I care because he controls the present day incarnation of the right. Of course you don't care - you thrill at his takeover of conservatism, if your deflections, whataboutisms, "who cares?" are any indication.

Please show me where a candidate, ANY POTUS candidate, went to the extremes Trump did in the wake of their loss - pressuring state electors, telling them to find votes, telling them to declare the election illegitimate, demanding their VPs stop the democratic process, whipping their mob into a frenzy before they stormed the Capitol to stop the certification. If anyone tries to suggest Trump did nothing unique in this regard, they are lying or stupid.

DeSantis has to make a deal with Trump & give him any post he wants in the cabinet,
Trump as Secretary of Energy of Secretary of Homeland Security would be my hope.
LOL You think Trump would take orders from DeSantis....🤣🤣🤣

One person that was not surprised at Trump's win was Putin. He worked overtime to make it happen and he never loses.

Desantis just needs for Trump to be done. Desantis would be making a stupid mistake to hitch his wagon to Trump.

You say without evidence.
Read the bipartisan Senate report and the Mueller report. They are 100% about evidence including the transfer of campaign polling and strategy to a Russian agent by the one term mistakes campaign manager. That is collusion. Too bad collusion is not a crime and is only despicable to cheat in an election by accepting help from a foreign adversary.

If he runs with Desantis as his VP pick, he won't live for a day after the election, and the intel community won't have to lift a finger.

He'll trip, fall out a window, hit the power lines, then get run over by Desantis's limo, then accidentally smother under a pillow.

DeSantis isn't going to risk running for anything with Trump. Trump is pushing 80. De Santis is barely 50. DeSantis just has to wait a few years.

I doubt very seriously that Trump would be interested in the job.

They won't. They can't.

I think they will, but they have thread a needle. Not piss off him and his die-hards. They understand that he is very powerful in the party and could tear it apart, but they also know that you can't win elections by living in the past. DeSantis and others are filling that forward-looking void.

Since it is now possible for the repubs to regain majority in the house would anyone support Trump be made speaker?......and what would be the ramifications
I am opposed to Trump holding any position of public trust ever again.

And that includes cleaning up poo behind horse mounted police.
