It would quite probably result in a United States that was less reduced.

I hate to say it.

But I think that Hillary has more experience and a better grasp on what it takes to be president than Trump does. I think he's too far over the line in so many ways, and that he'll make America more of a laughingstock than it already is worldwide.

The very idea of having to choose between Hillary and Trump sickens me.

That leaves Gary Johnson.

It's really horrible to have to admit to oneself that that woman could be the lesser evil.

Hillary or trump...................bend over.

I would love to drink a beer and play golf with Donald, but I do not want him representing my country. But, I would rather have him over Hillary any day.

I'm not sure that the GOP will be stronger in any case, since in the eyes of the ever-growing-in-size-and-influence minorities, the GOP is now and will be for many years tainted with Trump's racism, xenophobia, and misogyny...and a Trump victory would only cement that taint.

However, the (pretty doggone likely) Trump loss would allow the GOP establishment to regroup and decide whether to repackage conservatism to where the white working class will accept it, or to accept a few of Trump's populist positions that otherwise had nothing to do with tearing down minorities or women. But whatever the GOP establishment decides, they'd better figure out how to sell it to nonwhites since it's becoming next-to-impossible to win a national election without the support of minorities.

That took guts to admit - kudos to you.

I say no. The anti-americans including those in the republican party who suck the testicles of the illegal alien lobby and the testicles of globalist big business will use a Trump loss as a referendum against cracking down on illegal immigration and a referendum against cracking down on outsourcing. Despite Trump's liberal leanings the RINOs in the republican party will fraudulent claim that Trump was extremely right and that is why republicans lost will try to prop up another RINO in 2020.

Yes, because 2020 is not all that far away, and Hillary will be highly beatable as the incumbent - assuming the GOP doesn't put up The Donald again.

What happens when Trump becomes president and shows his true colors? Meaning he doesn't try to build a wall and he doesn't deport 11 million illegals? What happens then?

No, absolutely not. The GOP has demonstrated that losing doesn't actually teach them anything. Every time they lose, they send out surveys to ask what they did wrong and then, invariably, they double down on their own stupidity. The only thing that is going to change the GOP is having Trump win.

No. If the GOP hates Trump so much then they need to ascertain why he's so popular with their voters. I've seen no indication that the GOP establishment understands why Trump is popular and therefore I see no indication that the GOP is going to stregnthen itself even if Trump loses the General election. They're going to go back to being the party of tax cuts for the 1%, shipping jobs overseas, and being bible thumping bigots.

Actually I'm indifferent to him not building a wall. I would be thrilled if Trump takes the program that Arizona tried to establish and then make it nationwide for all police stops. Get stopped, immigration status gets researched. If there's a hit then ICE gets notified and the person gets deported. Withholding funding to sanctuary cities however possibe (I'm aware of the Supreme Court Ruling but I think there are ways around it) and vigorously enforcing employment verification will result in plenty of deportations on their own. All this fearmongering about busing illegal immigrants is nonsense. My idea is much more sound and stable.

IMO? Yes.

Seriously, the GOP has been on the track towards becoming a joke for a while, and Trump is the ultimate arrival in the insane asylum.

Where have all the sane, rational, moderate conservatives gone? All I see these days are hysteric clowns, religious nuts and shrill far-right extremists. Certainly the respectable conservatives must still be there, somewhere?

And my guess is that the point has already been crossed when it was still possible to win an election by only addressing poor whites *against* minorities, such as Hispanics or blacks. Demographically speaking. Even if it was still possible this year, it will certainly no longer be possible in 2020.

If the GOP ever wants to win an election again beyond this decade, they have to thoroughly change their strategy. The sane, respectable conservatives have to claim back the party from all the show clowns and extremist lunatics.

yeah. Clinton has only a slight chance at two terms after eight years of a Democratic president, and Republicans would likely keep congress and possibly gain seats. also, they'll be able to obstruct her almost completely, which they are exceptionally proficient at. on the other hand, Trump has a high risk of being a disaster for the Republican party if elected.

Should hell freeze over, unicorns come out of Obama's ass and Sanders renounces socialism and becomes a capitalist. Because that is the only way Trump will win, I will laugh my ass off at every Trump-tard who is shocked that Trump stabbed them in the back and didn't uphold what he campaigned on.

The RNC had their chance.

The absolute BEST they were able to do were Mitt Romney and John McCain.

And they would have foisted this idiot Cruz off on America if Trump hadn't sacrificed his own time and money to stop them.

The RNC deserves to be burnt to the ground and good Republicans everywhere should be lining up to deep throat Trump's balls.
