In case you've not noticed Navy Pride calls anyone who disagrees with his "stinkin thinkin" a left wing commie whacko! It's another one of Navy Pride's endearing qualities.

Do you realize in the last couple of days Navy Pride was completely and thoroughly wrong when he wrote the following things:

1. He wrote that the Federal Line Item Veto was never passed because Democrats filubustered it in the Senate. The TRUTH is that the Senate passed it, Clinton signed it into law, then a court struck it down as unconstitutional and that ruling was upheld by the Supreme Court 6-3 which included those Liberals justices Rhenquist & Thomas!

2. Navy Pride wrote that JFK would be a Conservative if he were alive today. I posted JFK's acceptance speech of the NY Liberal Party's Presidential nomination in 1960 where he calls himself a Liberal and he rejoices in it.

3. Navy Pride writes time and time again that President Clinton was "CONVICTED" of something but when proven wrong that he was never convicted of anything he refuses to accept the truth and keeps writing that he was convicted! He even calls President Clinton a RAPIST!

4. Navy Pride writes that Clinton was NOT convicted by the Senate in 1998 because the Democrats had a majority in the Senate so it was PARTISAN politics that kept Clinton from being convicted. The truth is that Republicans held a solid 55-45 MAJORITY in 1998. The true partisan politics occured in the House where Republicans did use their majority to impeach Clinton knowing full well that the Senate would never convict him.

5. Navy Pride writes with great self-confidence that even George McGovern carried his home state in the 1972 Presidential election, something that Gore the Moran couldn't even do. The truth is that McGovern lost South Dakota and won Massachusetts & DC in 1972!

All this in the last few days! Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!

Ok, thanks for the headsup. But calling JFK a conservative would be like calling Abe Lincoln a liberal, because he signed the document abolishing slavery. I don't believe that tripe, but it sounds like Navy Pride does. Now I really understand why so many ppl on here hate NP.

He had affairs. So did half of our presidents. Jefferson had affairs for crying out loud. He did not rape anyone. He is not a convicted felon. If you remember correctly, the senate failed to convict. As far as his Vietnam service goes, our vice president received 5 draft deferments. Had "other priorities".

He didn't rape anyone? Tell that to Juanita Broaderick.

They did not have affairs with a girl young enought to be his grandaughter in the oval office while talking to member of the Congress.........

There was more then one alleged rape charge against him

He was convicted of perjury a felong for lying under oath to a federal judge

Our vice president used the system................Clinton abused it.................

I grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and as everyone knows, that is Bill Clinton’s home town. He was the governor of Arkansas for much of my childhood. My mother is an interior decorator, and did some work for the Clinton’s in 1984. In fact, I remember for Christmas that year we got a Shih Tzu and puppy and my mother named the puppy Chelsea after the Clinton’s daughter (at the time, Chelsea and our puppy probably bore some resemblance). Clinton was well liked as governor of Arkansas and I am probably one of the few people from the state that never actually met him (Hillary, because she was a Yankee, was never really liked in Arkansas that much). I did however wait on his mother Virginia Kelly a few times when I was in high school working in the restaurants at the Majestic Hotel. I know a few people who went to high school with Clinton, and I know tons of people who were well acquainted with him. Everyone that I know that has met him really liked him. He is not a rapist. He is not a bad person. I know you say that women have accused him of rape, but Bush has been accused of obtaining an illegal abortion for his girlfriend in the early 70s. Of course, I seriously doubt that is true, I figure it’s just the kind of trash that his political opponents would try to throw at him. You had a lot of less than honest rich right wingers paying top dollar for women to accuse President Clinton of all sorts of things in 90s. Clinton is no rapist, however, he is a womanizer, or at least he was for a large portion of his political career.

Now, all that said, at the time of the affair, Clinton had just turned 50 years old and Monica Lewinski was 23. So the girl Clinton had an affair with was young enough to be his daughter, but obviously not young enough to be his granddaughter. If you are 50 years old, and you are getting head regularly from a 23 year old chick, then you are doing pretty good (of course I think if the truth were known, she didn’t just give him head).

Moreover, if you ask me there is no better sign of a true leader than a president who can conduct official business on the telephone while getting a hummer. How many presidents in our history of a nation do you think could have successfully pulled that one off? I doubt very many could have. A man that can run this country while getting a hummer is a man who I would trust to lead this great nation through anything.

Additionally, Clinton is not a convicted felon. The Republican controlled House of Representatives voted to impeach Clinton, but Republican controlled Senate did not. That is not to say that it was not a pretty damn clean cut case of perjury, however I have to say that I was never prouder of President Clinton than I was after watching him successfully talk his way out of that perjury charge. If anything in his life was evidence of the level of brilliance and near genius that he possesses, then his successfully redefining the word “is”, is certainly evidence of it.
Of course, in the end, it was the radical right and the Republicans who went after Clinton who ended up being that absolute laughing stock of the world and despite everything, Clinton’s Administration still represented the greatest period of peace and prosperity in our great nation’s history.

Don't need to, the woman swore in an affidavit that it was not true.

So, you like adulterers running office? I prefer a president to have family values.

I was being tongue in cheek.

Wtf does that even mean? So what, the president got a BJ; that doesnt mean he can run a country. Look at Bush, familiy values galore, no talent for running the ship of state.

Moreover, I think it would be pretty hard to argue that the Clinton's did not do an excellent job of raising their daughter. (as compared to the hard partying spoiled Bush twins)

Did I say it had anything to do with one running a country? I think not. I was just stating a quality that I like in presidents.

Apparently you never read my profile, cuz my party is the Independent Party; and my political leaning is "slightly conservative". So tell me, where does the word "left wing" fit in there?

No I didn't read it..........I just go by your avatar which is the symbol of the democratic party.............

Reports say that Ted Bundy was a nice guy, too, unless you were female and alone with him at the wrong time.

Then again, we can ask some people about Billy's character, and all of them have more direct experience with the President that you do:

http://users.aol.com/beachbt/rapes.txt
Juanita Broaddrick, who signed a affadavit of denial because Billy boy was AG of Arkansas, then Governor, and she was trying to run a nursing home. You
know, one of those places regulated by Attorneys General and Governors.

Broaddrick, a volunteer in Clinton's gubernatorial campaign, said he raped her in 1978. Mrs. Broaddrick required treatment for a bruised and torn lip, which she said she suffered when Clinton bit her during the rape;

A 1969 charge by a Eileen Wellstone, 19-year-old English woman who said Clinton assaulted her after she met him at a pub near the Oxford University campus where the future President was a student....Clinton admitted having sex with the girl, but claimed it was consensual. The victim's family declined to pursue the case;

In 1972, a 22-year-old woman told campus police at Yale University that she was sexually assaulted by Clinton,

In 1974, a female student at the University of Arkansas complained that then-law professor Bill Clinton tried to prevent her from leaving his office during a conference. She said he groped her and forced his hand inside her blouse...the former student confirmed the incident, but declined to go public with her account. Several former students at the University have confirmed the incident in confidential interviews and said there were other reports of Clinton attempting to force himself on female students;

From 1978-1980, during Clinton's first term as governor of Arkansas, state troopers assigned to protect the governor reported seven complaints from women who said Clinton forced, or attempted to force, himself on them sexually.

Carolyn Moffet, a legal secretary in Little Rock in 1979, said she met then-governor Clinton at a political fundraiser and shortly thereafter received an invitation to meet the governor in his hotel room. "I was escorted there by a state trooper. When I went in, he was sitting on a couch, wearing only an undershirt. He pointed at his penis and told me to suck it. I told him I didn't even do that for my boyfriend and he got mad, grabbed my head and shoved it into his lap. I pulled away from him and ran out of the room."

Elizabeth Ward, the Miss Arkansas who won the Miss America crown in 1982, told friends she was forced by Clinton to have sex with him shortly after she won her state crown. Last year, Ward, who is now married with the last name of Gracen (from her first marriage), told an interviewer she did have sex with Clinton but said it was consensual. Close friends of Ward, however, say she still maintains privately that Clinton forced himself on her.

Paula Corbin, an Arkansas state worker, ...the then-governor exposed himself and demanded oral sex. Clinton settled the case with Jones recently with a cash payment.

Sandra Allen James, ... in 1991, pinned her against the wall and stuck his hand up her dress.

Christy Zercher, a flight attendant on Clinton's leased campaign plane in 1992, says Presidential candidate Clinton exposed himself to her, grabbed her breasts and made explicit remarks about oral sex. A video shot on board the plane by ABC News shows an obviously inebriated Clinton with his hand between another young flight attendant's legs.

Kathleen Willey,...Clinton grabbed her, fondled her breast and pressed her hand against his genitals during an Oval Office meeting in November, 1993.

Totally irrelevant non sequitur.

SouthernDemocrat said:

Yeah, sure. Except for the college girl in 1972, his student in 1974, and Broadericks affadavit all existed before Willy ran for Prez in 1992. So much for your theory.

I knew a woman who was a grand mother at 26. Her mother was 39.

And you're impressed with what $20 can do, huh? You're not bothered by the abuse of power, the obvious sexual harassment, the violation of federal law that Clinton himself signed?

Even as something-in-cheek, the attitude is despicable.

So all that matters is a growing economy and no war and then the character of the national leader isn't important? (and then Democrats wonder why they're despised as inferior animals similar to pubic lice...)

Well...you're wrong.

I remember the feeling of total disgust with Vacant Lott, Senate Majority Cheer Leader, when the Senate voted to not hold a proper, formal trial with a full public review of the evidence. That's when I stopped being a Republican.
