And to think we share the same birthday;)

and one day maybe humans will be evolved enough to make a communist society that acutely works, but i don't see that happening any time soon. but intell than i believe that democracy is the best bet we have because it allows us to hold our leadership accountable for bad dicesions and polices they make that may not go for the good of its people, because they can allways be voted out of office if they mess up.

thank you i do what i can, and if any one wants a break down communism, for the not so bright we have Georg Orwell animal farm, its short and to the point and they use animals. for the more evolved readers check out Orwell's 1984.

Going a bit off topic here: 1984 is one of my favorite books and has greatly influenced me politically but you seem to have a completely different philosophy then me. I would really like to discuss that I don't think you posted on my thread on 1984: The Novel.

Here is a link to the topic I made on it. I would really like to hear your opinions. http://www.debatepolitics.com/showthread.php?t=3776

Which is it, in your opinion?

I vote Nazism.

I say nihilism, it's like they said in that movie.

"Nihilism, ****! Say what you will about the tennants of national socialism but at least it's an ethos!"

far far far too true

No you didn't, you said pan islamic. And my point still stands, the Islamic extremists may have had links to Nazi Germany but there were also links with Nationalist movements throughout the middle east, including Nasser, the former President of Egypt. Parts of the British Aristocracy had links to the Nazis, even had small Nazi movements, does that mean the British Aristocracy had it's roots in Nazi Germany? Of course not, it had been around for centuries, just like the form of Islamic extremism practised today. Ever hear of the old Islamic Assassins cult the Hashshashin?
Thanks for teaching me something. And offering some historical basis for the idea of 'defeating' terrorism's current incarnation. If you don't mind, could you enlighten us with the details of their eventual defeat?
