I'm proud to say I've never seen a single one of the movies on this list.

I'd be curious to know what they think should have won besides these movies.

For the most part though, I couldn't care **** less about the academy awards. It's very rare for a movie I like to win an Oscar, and it's very rare for me to like Oscar winning movies.

Dude, Braveheart. No brainer. Braveheart sucked and I mean truly. I don't know that any of your choices would make my top ten list. I'll get back and edit this post up in a bit.

EDIT: ok, I'm doing my homework now. First, Oliver from 1968. This is probably not even close to the worst of the winners, but I really hate Oliver. Oh sorry... Oliver!

Uhg, the Sound of Music in 1965.

I'm with you on Gigi, Gigi sucks.

Oh, we have a new leader on the board: American Beauty. That movie shouldn't have even been nominated. So here are my top five in no particular order:

5. Gigi
4. The Sound of Music
3. Oliver!
2. Braveheart
1. American Beauty

Now, I did see Braveheart.
I didn't think it was all that bad.
Probably not very historically accurate, but entertaining enough.

Whoever said "The Departed" should be shot in the face with a gun that shoots wasp's nests. On fire.

Around the World in 80 Days hands down. I think Mike Todd browbeat some into Voting for it.

ALSO - Chariots of Fire and Driving Miss Daisy do NOT belong on such a list.

A lot of Great Films never even got nominated and "Paths of Glory" is one huge example.
