I'm surprised smoking and alcohol aren't on there. They kill many muliple times more folks each year than all those terrorism things combined have thru history.

How would you rank these threats (1-8) in order of danger?

Smoking
Drinking
Cancer
Diseases
Automobile deaths
Gun related deaths
Other accidents
...
...
...
Shark bites
lightning strikes
nose picking fatalities
terrorist threat

That's about it, in terms of things that are actually threats to us.

I don't detect any argument here. But you got one from Iriemon.

Why aren't threats that affect more people referred to as threats? Why don't they receive more news coverage than more minimal, yet sensationalized, threats?

The answer is that it would be too logical (and unprofitable) for the MSM.
