Do you think women empowerment is really happening in this country? Every single day, we are nauseated by sickening news of rapes and molestations. We are comfortably numb and dumb about many issues that keep on rising every single day. We simply do not bother what happened to whom and when. We have to stick to our daily routines. We cannot compromise our comfort for the sake of the society. All in all, it seems sanity is out of the dictionary of the majority of our hoi-polloi who prefer to stay cocooned- safe and sound at their own comfort zones. Welcome to contemporary India- a land of perverts and hypocrite, a land where rapes and molestations happen almost every day as if they are making TRPs. Talks of women empowerment or safety of women are meant only to heat up the Assembly halls. Rest of the year, they are just frozen formulas that are not practically applied anywhere. If you agree with these viewpoints, do share your concern with us. We are from Alternation, a social networking site where people (who have not yet lost their sanity) discuss and share their concerns with one another. Register and connect with www.alteranation.com.

If someone needs to be empowered then they are not.
