Whats also worth noteing is that to an extent the article disproves the idea thats its only looney fundamentalists who are against abortion as only about 10-20% of brittans attend churches.

Not really, seeing as only 10% of the women wanted it outlawed according to the article. Fits rather nicely into the 10-20% that attend church. Actually, only 10% of the people wanting it outlawed is a huge majority of people that believe it should be legal. Which makes the title of the article incredibly misleading.
