Anyway, how she used with the money in no now way exonerates the police killing for her 16 year old son.

Actually it does. It shows she is a shitty parent. The one she bought guns for is already in a gang. It sounds like she is irresponsible in raising children to be productive, law-abiding members of society.

Note: My posts above were partially snark. And I would never suggest giving guns to kids to protect themselves from the police…. I’d give them cameras and lessons in the law.

But a 5 Million dollar settlement speaks to a colossal ****-up on the part of the cops…and isn’t diminished by what the mother does with the money.

Sounds like it's being handled. Clearly not the brightest stars in the sky, if they're getting caught doing this stuff.

Some people are actual criminals on purpose, and I doubt any amount of money would make my mom think anything good about police after she sees what they did to her boy (I presume it will take ~900 gunshots to end the threat I represent to the general public.)

There's a lesson buried in there someplace about not making enemies unnecessarily, whatever authority you're swinging around.

That only shows how insanely totalitarian the system is. There's at most ONE crime in that situation, the fact that she gave a gun to a minor.

They should be able to defend themselves against cops. That's pretty sure the intention behind the act. She should get at most a suspended sentence, perhaps a fine or a warning.
Normally I'm for banning all guns, but when you have so many aggressive and murderous cops, anyone should be able to defend themselves against cops, including minors and former "criminals"(most of them are not real criminals, just victims of totalitarianism and overcriminalization)
