With all the talk of the wall and what it is and where it will be built, how many republicans have you noticed say we can't afford a wall? Money is always an issue for republicans when the dems say they want something. Why do we not hear the fiscal conservatives, the deficit hawks like Ryan, talk about the costs of the wall. Does money not matter when the GOP wants something?

The hyperinflated, never-enough defense budget is one of the many pieces of evidence that the GOP does not give one rat's ass about fiscal conservatism when it's the things they want. There's always enough money for guns, never enough for butter. If they waste trillions on pointless foreign wars, it's super important, but if someone suggests we spend a tiny portion on that on actual Americans, they tend to freak out and ask "how ya gonna pay for that, comrade???"

The truth that many people seem to be overlooking is, 5.7 billion will not even cover a small portion of the wall. No one can tell us what 1 mile of wall will cost, how it will look, who will do it, and how it will be done. It's a number completely pulled out of Trump's ass that doesn't even begin to describe the real cost of this useless monstrosity should it ever get built.

They're afraid to break with Trump. But that may be close to ending with his performance these past 2 months.

These people have us borrowing near a trillion a year in a good economy to give even more tax breaks to the richest entities. I seriously worry about anyone who truly believes that they care about spending, debt, or deficits.

It was obvious before Trump tax cuts (after all, the only spending they want to cut is that which helps poor people; and look at the bloated defense budget), but now there really is no argument possible whatsoever.

No politician, Republican, Democrat or otherwise, cares about cost...unless it has something to do with something they don't want.
