God knows what he was watching he didn't want publicized.

In today’s political climate, I’m surprised any candidate would drop out of a race over something like this.

It is an extremely dangerous combination -- mindless goons (I mean the voters, not just the politicians) who are willing to turn on somebody over what they read, and ultra-powerful AI looking for every stray word.

In 2000 the theory was that people would elevate. Seeing everyone's private moments, they would stop judging people over a video clip or a stray sentence. Seeing ISIS beheading videos every few weeks, they would no longer be frightened or baited into violent action by rare criminal events. Seeing Make.Money.Fast scams, they would no longer be tricked by email fraud schemes. And the thing is, it WORKED. It worked for an entire DECADE. It seemed like the only possible way people would react.

Now we're at a point where somehow, people have had their morals, ethics, and ideology swapped out for something that can't possibly function at this level of technological development. They're being manipulated more easily than the average microwave oven, by people who have less respect for them than a farmer has for his cow. And if we don't find a way to undo whatever malice has done, the entire infrastructure of the country will be destroyed in conflicts to the point where technology does not exceed philosophical understanding.

I've been making what seems to be that point, that the power of the modern propaganda systems is too powerful for most voters, for a long time. We see the result. And it's getting worse. It's one part of what I say is our biggest problem, oligarchy. We saw the harm greatly as Bernie was defeated.
