Seriously? I reflect that life is a travail and that suffering and misery are to be expected. This is to say, that I'm not a happy person by nature and have learned to accept blues, sadness, depression and mourning all before my morning coffee (which is dark, and bitter.)Hey all,
So... I'm having a case of the winter blues, on top of being overseas. I'm used to living in this country since I've been here before, but everytime the winter season rolls around I'm hit with the dolldrums.
I exercise regularly, eat well, have a relatively active life... so what's the deal?
What do you all do when you are having a case of the good old SAD? (Ok, it's not that bad for me, but it still bites.)

Since moving to western North Carolina, I am still "waiting" for it to snow, but no snow is coming. I kind of miss it. I don't miss shoveling the ****, but I kind of miss the nice blast of cool -10 degree weather in your face when you walk out the door.

Yeah... having a body close would help, but I don't just hook up with people, so I'm not going to be going down that route anytime soon. Unless of course I happen to meet someone I want to be with during this crap ass winter
I'm going to SE Asia for a month or so in a few weeks and there will be sunny beaches there. Maybe that will help... actually yes, I think it will definitely help. But until then, I am dealing with dull gray and, to be honest, boredom. My studies are so extensive that when I'm not at school I'm usually reviewing the day's notes and analyzing case studies. My work is my passion but it's not my only one... and I feel kind of out of balance.
Friends, lovers, beer, pizza, movies, snuggling, it all sounds good. Even the harmonica, Rev... are those hard to play?
