Surprised not to see a thread devoted to this. Watched Andy Murray win yesterday evening. Currently watching Serena on Centre Court.

I don't think anyone beyond Nadal or Djokovic has a chance to win

That Williams-Tan match was incredible. Unbelievable win for the newcomer.

The missus is a big tennis fan, Serena looked tired and drained just from a casual observer.

Hadn’t played for a year. Age catches up with us all.

Re; Serena Williams.

Look, she's an absolutely amazing athlete who's dominated tennis in the past but she's now trying for a comeback and lost in the first round of Wimbledon.
The thing is, she's certainly never been a twig but she now appears to be almost 100 pounds overweight and no one in the sports world seems brave enough to comment on this only-too-obvious fact.
I wish her well but she really needs to get in a little better shape, if not for competition, for her overall physical health.

Andy Murray looks pretty finished out there on Centre Court. He’s 37 now and his opponent is 35. Tennis players are definitely increasing their longevity. Seems to be a lack of new champions coming through in the men’s game.

Spoke too soon! Murray takes the third set. He can’t seem to anything about Isner’s serve though.

I like it when staff does a sports OP, maybe Tennis 2023.
The Australian Open has started.
Nadal just started his 4th set up 2-1.
Kyrgios pulls out with knee injury.
