Everyone should really be taken back by a statement where a sitting president is openly inviting civil chaos to save his ass.

Amazing how his old tweets are prescient, predicting accurately the outcome of his own election/presidency.

While I find Trump revolting, I don't plan to revolt whether he is impeached or not. Actually, I'd rather not see him impeached. I think this nation is strong enough to survive another two years of his inability to govern. Moreover, if he is impeached, then the Trumper Party will have a martyr to their cause and will be painting him as an American hero for decades to come. If, on the other hand, he loses the nomination in 2020, it will be the Republican Party itself rejecting him and Trumperism will soon be dead.

I would NOT "revolt."

"Revolting" would only get my butt kicked by the powers that be.


Besides, although I voted for Mr. Trump and feel that he's been trying to do his best for our divisive country, he is not worth "revolting" for.

If he is impeached (and convicted), the American people will just accept it stoically.

I can tell you one thing: Trump supporters will accept the impeachment much more graciously than how many Democrats have reacted to Donald J. Trump's election over that woman, who just this week is still criticizing him in public.


P.S If he is impeached, I get the feeling that there will be peaceful consequences for the Democrats down the line, but I do not know what they would be.

The Senate doesn't have a damn thing to do with impeaching anyone. The House impeaches, the Senate "convicts" or doesn't.

That depends on what the investigations say in the end. The diehard Trump supporters will just build a conspiracy theory around Trump. But the average American will not be able to turn a blind eye on the results of those investigations. I suspect unless trump kills over soon the country will think of him as an embarrassment or worse.
