I read that Trump has asked, "forced" Zelinsky to come to the White House and that he has said it is up to Zelinsky now? It seems that Trump will try and force Zelinsky to accept a deal that was forged by Putin to aid only Putin. It does not require a cease fir and I suspect Putin will keep the land he has gained during his war. No matter what, it will not be a good deal for Ukraine and more proof that Trump is the worst negotiator since Chamberlain.

Is rain wet?

Trump wants that Peace Prize so he'll try anything. But if Zelensky could be bullied, I think Russia would have bullied him by now.

Trump doesn't really have a coherent position on Ukraine and most of that comes from the fact that he's an incompetent governor. Keep in mind it was during Trump's first administration that we began giving lethal aid to Ukraine, something Obama refused to do on multiple occasions.

My hunch is that there's a divide in the security apparatus between pro-European Atlanticists and Zionists/China hawks. The latter wants to hurry up and wrap up Ukraine's loss so we can help Israel finish their ethnic cleansing and turn toward China & Taiwan.

Zelenskyy is not playing cards. He is trying to save his country. Trump will attempt to appease Putin because he is compromised.

'Force' how?
By withholding military equipment? Zelinsky has already been getting that from other sources, the US only a part.
Zelinsky has been very clear that any 'deal' that involves Ukraine giving up land is a NO from the start.
Trump only wants to appease Putin. He could care less about Ukraine or Zelinsky.

Think Zelensky insisted Vance not be present for this meeting?

Maybe he'll get respect if he wears a gilt suit. Shiny things impress TACO.

Dude better be wearing a suit this time.

I mean, damn.

If he does, it means he has decided to participate in Trump's humiliation ritual.

It may not be official but you just know that's it exactly.

Zelensky doesn't care.
He's going to listen to Trump lie, and Vance make yipping sounds from the corner.
Drunk-o Hegseth might puke on the carpet from drinking too much.

He sees him as an obstacle to his precious Nobel.

Surely that was a transitory desire. He is on to something else by now. The man has no plan beyond his own dick.

Poor guy's stuck...he has to play the game with Trump to keep up a good faith appearance about the assistance his country is receiving from the U.S. Inside, he has to be boiling about what a dunce Trump really is.

If Trump could nominate himself for the Nobel, he would.

If he could rig the voting, he would.

If Trump could award himself a Nobel he would. And he just might.

Sounds more like a pathetic sycophant mentioned it during some flattery session, it got Trump juiced about the idea, and it is now a perennial; something he thinks about occasionally and might mention. It is not top of mind for him anymore.
