Will Smith attacks Chris Rocks at the Oscars

Draaaaaa-ma. He's an actor. His wife is an actor. His kids are actors. Shit, his cat is probably on meow-mix commercials. Let's face it... his whole freaking life is draaaaaa-ma.

He’s also an idiot with an anger management problem. And during his acceptance speech he looked like someone on the edge of a nervous breakdown. Maybe he thinks God is punishing him and his wife for their open marriage.

He's not horrible at all, there are many men who won't tolerate some jerk insulting their wives. Doing it on a stage like that made it even worse, Rock is a POS, always has been.

Yes he is, he's a scientologist and he promotes scientologist bullshit. He indoctrinated his kids into that bullshit. He let a 20 year old mess around with his 13 year old daughter. He let's his wife cheat on him and does nothing.

Like Rock said, it was. G.I. Jane joke. It shouldn’t have elicited the response that it did.

Does anyone really care anymore?

That looked real to me. especially considering Smith's behavior after he sat down.

What's weird is this is the same guy who lets other men sleep with his wife. bizarre.

I'm going to presume those other men did not make fun of Will Smith's wife's alopecia to his face.

I only care in that it satisfies my sense of schadenfreude. To the degree that incidents like this distract hypocritical, sanctimonious Hollywood assholes from politics it’s a good thing. It was refreshing not hearing “Trump” for a change on an internationally-broadcast major awards ceremony. In fact, I was shocked that DeNiro was on stage and didn’t utter one word. Of course, others can’t help it. It’s in their nature. Tonight we had Wanda Sykes picking on states, like Florida (over Never Say Gay) and Texas (voting rights).

I've been a fan of Will Smith for a very long time, but that was inexcusable behavior and I will never pay to see a movie of his again.

.

After the overall message during the Oscars for peace, tolerance, lifting people up, reaching out to those considering suicide...to see someone act with violence was darn surprising. And totally uncalled for.

Very unprofessional and shocking behavior. Smith should be fined:

Hog wash. Chris Rock made a tasteless joke out of a medical condition Jada Smith went public about last year. Will Smith reacted the way every wife would hope their husband would over such a tasteless hit. He bitch slapped him. Kudos to Will Smith.

Is that what happened? I couldn't really understand what he said.

Smith laughed first, then saw that his wife was pissed, then got outraged.

Imagine what he would have done if Don Rickles or Gilbert Gottfried told the joke...

I saw Rickles at a casino theater years ago. He made a number of racist jokes, e.g. referring to his sidekick as Stepin Fetchit. A black couple seated near us walked out. Even decades ago he pushed the envelope. In that respect he was the Howard Stern of his day.

Seriously? Inexcusable behavior? Oh brother. Chris Rock made a tasteless joke out of Jada Smith health condition. That is what was inexcusable behavior. Out of all the things to joke over, a person's health condition is not one of them. Will Smith reacted like any good husband would have. Kudos to Will Smith.

I thought it was about her hairdo. I have no idea how references to G.I. Jane apply to alopecia.

In his acceptance speech it looked to me like he was attempting to draw a comparison between his behavior and the desire of the object of King Richard, Richard Williams, to protect his family. It looked like an attempt at damage control, but to me it fell flat.

In that movie the women shaved their heads.

Staged.

Smith is literally laughing like a second or two before he walks up on stage. Chris Rock recovers and talks quickly as though it's just mildly awkward. If Smith were using actual violence, there would be nothing mildly awkward about it. Rock expected to be slapped. Smith got a chance to show he's 'da man'. All is well.

But the Oscars are still not worth watching.

I had no idea she had a medical problem, did Chris Rock know? I somehow doubt it.

It sounded more like he was adlibbing at that point. IDK, still Smith went overboard on live TV. weird.

Did you see her hairdo?
Yes, it was a wig. Last year Jada came out publicly and said she shaved her head due to alopecia. People need to read up on alopecia before commenting.

What he did was a crime. That's called assault.

Will Smith is a horrible human being and **** him if he can't take a joke
I bet a lot of people will think twice about making G.I. Jane jokes if they see a bald woman. Especially if she is black.
Come to think of it, how will we know if he/she is a woman?
Don't we need a Supreme Court justice to give us the final word?

No, all is not well. This “Keep my wife’s name out if your ****ing mouth” incident occurred moments before the Academy had its “In Memoriam” segment honoring members of the Academy who’d died. That sort of language generally doesn’t mesh well with photos of dead people and gospel singers. Completely classless.

What he did is what real men do when their wife is being made a butt end of a joke due to her current health condition. G-d help all the wives who live with wimps.

Will Smith acted like a complete mad man. Did you hear his speech? Crying and talking about god calling him and the devil???

What a lunatic.
