Will Obama Blame the Duck Dynasty Next?

Abysmal failure Barack Obama is nervously rooting around to find someone to blame for the disaster he’s created and for the roadblocks preventing him from wreaking additional havoc on America.

The president is impugning the Republicans as well as radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, but maybe he should blame the Robertsons of Duck Dynasty.

As President Obama’s poll numbers have plummeted to a point where only 47% of those low-information likely voters still approve of his job performance, an A&E cable reality show featuring a close knit-family of God-fearing, pro-life, gun-toting, beard-sporting, patriotic entrepreneurs from the backwoods of bayou Louisiana is growing in popularity weekly.

Much to Barack Obama’s chagrin, the Robertson family’s God-and-country values evidently appeal to the nearly 11.8 million viewers who tune in. That’s why a show that embraces everything Barack Obama rejects, and personifies everything he spurns, is poised to make cable history.

The fact that a family from West Monroe, Louisiana, is gaining more and more recognition proves that besides their “guns and religion,” Obama’s vision and values are not the same vision and values most Americans cling to.

Phil Robertson, patriarch of Duck Dynasty, was a college football star that turned down an offer from the Washington Redskins because it interfered with duck season. Phil went on to build a mom-and-pop business and called it the Duck Commander.

Then, after Phil’s son Willie graduated from business school, he helped his father turn Duck Commander into a multimillion-dollar operation. As a result, the Duck Commander now employs half the Robertson’s neighborhood.

That kind of selfish, self-centered, small-business-owner attitude is exactly the type of behavior the president has attempted to discourage for the past five years.

What could be worse for Barack Obama than a family who’s made a fortune selling duck calls fashioned out of salvaged swamp cedar wood somehow managing to capture the level of attention that Obama himself craves?

To make matters worse, his rivals are prayerful, bullfrog-eating, deer-hunting men with ZZ Top beards, pickup trucks, and red, white, and blue bandannas.

I see you reaching, but there's nothing there to grab.

Topic is dead on arrival.

Obviously satire doesn't do well with the Progressive Left when the satire is about them and their leaders.

Earth to Wehrwolfen, Obama could care less what is popular on TV or even his own ratings. His political office future and historic status are now all but sealed. Obama is quite content to bop around in permanent campaign mode making money, visiting cool (and expensive) places and spewing teleprompted nonsense for as long as possible and, judging by Bill Clinton, that is likely to be for quite some time. ;)

This is satire? Honestly dude with the garbage you post, how do you expect anyone to tell the difference?

That article is the reason I hate politics sometimes.

And if it is, it's horrible satire.

If its satire you also posted it in the wrong forum.

Come on dude, admit it, you posted something so God damn stupid even you couldn't defend it and now you're trying to pass it off as a joke.

Re: Will Obama Blame the Duck Dynasty Next?

There actually is a "satire" column on the website, although it's pretty tough to discern the attempts at satirical works and run-of-the-mill, far-right nonsense on that site.

This article though was posted under "culture".

Re: Will Obama Blame the Duck Dynasty Next?

Seems that all you Progressive Liberals thought it was funny when Oblamer was blaming Bush for everything.

that doesn’t make any sense. we didn’t find if funny when we held Bush accountable for his actions. Actually it was quite sad that bush was able to destroy america’s wealth and prestige so easily and quickly. And when we hold bush accountable, we don’t have to use satire. we use facts.

People don't always watch a TV show because they support the subject matter, sometimes its so ridiculous and offensive you can't help yourself (see also: Honey Boo Boo)

this is a new low Wolfy, the conservative blogosphere must be a little slow this week.

Re: Will Obama Blame the Duck Dynasty Next?

Anyone else see the irony in contrasting the "low information voter" with a reality show's popularity?

Re: Will Obama Blame the Duck Dynasty Next?

I like that Obama thinks mentioning Limbaugh does anything but make Rush MORE popular.

I have to disagree with that statement. The Economy was in a shambles before Bush became president. The actions or lack thereof by Clinton to curb the Terrorists coming into and training within the U.S., was part and parcel of the Attack of 9/11/01. Then of course the machinations of Barney Frank to undermine America's economy through the failure of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack. However, it didn't stop you or Obama to blame Bush for more than four years of Obama failures, blaming Congress, the Tea Party, the Climate and why not the Duck Dynasty. Nothing is Obama's responsibility according to the Progressive Left and the co-conspirators of the LSM.

Re: Will Obama Blame the Duck Dynasty Next?

I have to disagree with that statement. The Economy was in a blah blah blah.

wolf, why cant you respond to what I wrote instead of using it as an excuse to post more of your delusions. Read this slowly, democrats did not find it funny that bush destroyed America's wealth and prestige. And again, when we hold Bush accountable for his actions we dont have to use satire. We use facts. and thanks to your latest factless post, calling what you post satire is a stretch. Its more like delusion. Serious question wolf, if President Obama is destroying America as you claim to believe (and post non stop about) why are you making jokes?

Re: Will Obama Blame the Duck Dynasty Next?

5 years into his presidency and Obama is blaming Rush Limbaugh for his failure as a leader. I dont know how Duck Dynasty gets brought into the mix, but come on folks...that ****s funny right there. And all the 'republicans' that tell him in private they agree with him? You have to admit...its a mighty strange coincidence that he and Manbearpig came up with that same schtick within days of each other.

And lets not dance. Blame Limbaugh if you like (which again...funny as hell...just so we are clear)...but the fact remains (as seen in a current thread on this site) its not just republicans that think Obama is a failure and a disappointment. Plenty of democrats share that view as well.

Re: Will Obama Blame the Duck Dynasty Next?

When did Obama blame Limbaugh for his failures?

Re: Will Obama Blame the Duck Dynasty Next?

Obviously satire doesn't do well with the Progressive Left when the satire is about them and their leaders.

That was not satire. Satire doesn't need to be funny, per se, but it does need to have an underlying wit that is used to convey it's it's ridicule and disdain for the oppositional viewpoint. There's no wit here. There's no sense of irony. This is, at best, a sad attempt at satire that misses its mark. To actually call it satire, though, is an affront against nature and all things holy.
