Who says I'm liberal?
Definately think McCain would win; although, being in Vietnam didn't seem to do much for Kerry.....

Well Kerry ran into a bunch of Medal of Honor winners as well as a bunch of his old shipmates on SWIFTBOATS that said he was not the war hero he tried to make himself out to be........

That might have had a little to do with it..........

As far as being a lib you know if you are or not......If you are stand up and be counted........

No It was a FOX opinion poll...I saw it on Special Report..............I went to the FOX web site and did not see it.........You can take it or leave it...............

I'm not saying I disbelieve you, just wanted to go check it out. If it's a poll of merely Fox viewers I'm surprised he didn't beat her out 95% to 5%. But we are talking about McCain, he's not exactly the neo's favorite son.

So, if you don't like Hillary- which Dem do you like for '08?

What do you think about McCain?

Hi Pacridge. I like Mark Warner (Governor of Virginia) and Russell Feingold (Senator from Wisconsin). I thing both would be very good candidates for prez in 2008.

I like McCain, but I was terribly disappointed that he helped Bush campaign for the 2004 election, after Bush had made a fool of him during the primaries for the 2000 election. Sorry, but no matter how much I wanted my party to win, I wouldn't support someone who had trashed me AND my spouse. I was also disappointed with him when he did not defend Kerry when Kerry's service was being attacked.

People who say that he has anger problems can shove it up their butts. Does anyone, for the most part, have any idea what it is like to be a prisoner of war? I believe he was in captivity for 5 years. Sheesh. As a senator, I have not seen his anger have a negative impact on him. If his anger was a problem, he couldn't keep his position for this long.

I hope she runs but like you I don't think she can win......I know you guys don't like FOX but they published a poll today that had Juliani beating her 51 to 29 percent and McCain Beating her 49 to 39 percent........

Well, I hope she pays attention to this poll and decides not to run. Although I think if she decided to run and Mark Warner or Russell Feingold did too, they would beat her in the primaries. I kinda hope she runs and loses in the primaries. She needs a good wake-up call. I don't like politicians who won't say or do something for fear of how it will affect their standing among their party. Russell Feingold was the only senator (I believe) that voted against the Patriot Act. He is also the first democrat in the Senate (and perhaps Congress) to say we should have a deadline of when we would like to start bringing the troops back from Iraq.

I worked in Manhattan during some of the Giuliani years. And he has many enemies. He did things that, while improved the city overall, made alot of his constituents very upset. He did rise to the occasion, as so few could, during 9/11, but come election time, i believe that will be put aside and he will be attacked huge. He has the Bernard Kerik nannygate scandal and Keriks mistresses. Rudy was involved with a mistress, whom he married after divorcing his wife. and many other issues to deal with. He might be happier resting on his laurels after 9/11. After such a response, he was on top, and when you are on top, there is only one way to go from there. Down

He has a good chance of getting my vote, but i would be surprised if he got the nomination
All of this baggage and a good deal more will be spread our for public view if Rudy makes a run. You know what the Democrats will do with that stuff. It will get ugly enough for the RNC to ask him to step aside.

Socially i have my differences with Rudy but if he were the nominee I would vote for him........I really think the Republican nominee is wide open though.........

McCain's attitude and actions are indicitave of the level of integrity he possesses. He puts the best interests of the country before his own personal feelings. You may recall that while he was rotting in the Hanoi Hilton, McCain refused to be released several years early because of familial connections. That is the mark of a man.
I was also disappointed with him when he did not defend Kerry when Kerry's service was being attacked.
McCain's silence with respect to another naval officer's (Kerry) service was a clear indication that he had no respect for a man whose words and deeds gave so much aid and comfort to the enemy. Perhaps McCain believed, as did many others, that Kerry's three purple hearts were not really earned.

McCain has a big, big, load of baggage stemming from youthful indiscretions, multiple marriages, and other stuff that, while not a big concern in Arizona, will get plenty of play by the socialist-lib-dem media apologists if he runs for national office.

Born in Panama Canal Zone, August 29, 1936, he would be the oldest man ever inaugurated and if he won a second term would leave office at age 81.

There will probably be some noise over his place of birth, too.

I don't think he'll get the nomination, unless, of course he runs as a Democrat.
