And even if they were able to come up with a body count anywhere close to the top killer blue states would it ever really be a fair comparison since these killer blue states were able to kill so many
so quickly ?
Will any red state ever be able to match the blue states covid killer death rates.

Fortunately it's really only NY that has the rate no other will likely catch up to given current rates. New Jersey's might not either, and I hope it stays that way, but other states do have over 10K deaths that are both red and blue.
And comparing NY's rates to the rates of the states that got it later is not a fair thing to do seeing a lot of the Deaths in NY were back in March, Apr, and beginning of May, back when they still didn't know just what to do or what NOT to do and the death rate in the southern states now is AFTER states like NY and the states of the NE figured out what to do
It is too bad some people can't figure that out
NY had no example of what to do like most all the states did after they figured out what to do
and there are a lot of people that can't seem to give these states the credit they deserve for figuring out what to do
Have a nice day

The department also confirmed the positivity rate among children increased from 13.4 percent on July 16 to 14.4 percent on July 24. Five children have died so far following infection, including a nine-year-old girl, Kimora "Kimmie" Lynum, who died earlier this month, becoming the state's youngest person to die from the virus. She had no known underlying conditions, according to her family.
I think the one area NY's response was completely bungled was returning infected seniors to nursing homes. There was enough information available even at that point to know that was a daft thing to do. Remember, we had information from Italy, Iran, and China fairly early on to get a sense of how quickly it could spread. What is definitely fair critiquing of the states impacted now, is why they didn't take a more cautious approach to prevent the wide scale spread they've witnessed.

well for one thing a lot of people don't know is the people that were sent to Nursing homes were suppose to be recovered from it and the other thing ( and this is what didn't happen ) the Nursing homes were to keep anybody returning to them or going there the first time separate from all of the regular people in the Nursing home
and YES there were mistakes like this that were made and Como admitted they was and took responsibility for those mistakes
the thing is these all happened back before there was a lot of knowledge on the subject . maybe as I have said over and over again there would not have been as many cases or deaths in the NE if there was an example of what to do and what not to do, but there wasn't and the states in the NE ( mostly NY ) had to figure it out themselves
and now that there are examples of what to do and what not to do other states SHOULDN'T have any where near the numbers NY had
Have a nice afternoon

You just can't compare .
No red state will ever attain the boneheaded, blue state ,wealthy white privilege indifference needed to kill so many minorities so quickly :
No wonder blue states gave us the Mafia as well :

Disingenuously, the OP doesn't factor in that nothing was known of COVID when New York was attacked.
Now look at Florida's numbers many months after New York.....
Florida shows 947.9% increase in COVID-19 cases since governor reopened state

Strange that "nothing was known of COVID" applies to New York but doesn't apply to Trump's handling of it at the same "when"....
