Wife of Orlando Terrorist Disappears - are you kidding me?

Sorry, I am not following the story to tell the truth.

Links please?

I think if you're genuinely curious, you'll do a bit of Googling. Just type in "Noor Salman."

I'm sorry. When I saw yesterday on the news, that she was not under arrest or being held, and was gathering her stuff and hiding her face, I knew she would disappear. And a day passes and she is missing. And all the New York Times wants to talk about is how Republicans have culpability with regards to this Orlando shootings. And, all the Democrats want to do is walk out on the government in a moment of silence. And, all President Obama wants to do is argue whether it makes sense that we use the terminology "Radical Islamic Terrorist". And, all the Senate wants to do is dis-arm Americans. And this site just wants to talk about the ridiculousness of a conspiracy theory.

Breaking: Wife of Orlando terrorist is now missing

And Megan Kelly just reported it on FOX news.

This is propagandist sensationalist hyperbole - and if Megan Kelly's reporting this as fact, she's lost what little shreds of credibility she has left, since turning down CNN to become a big money bedfellow at Fox!

This women is definitely *NOT* "missing"! :doh

So we shouldn't arrest Taliban Dad because he hasn't acted on his hatred yet?

People didn't "say something" about Mateen's hatred. Look what happened: 49 dead people.

I have a feelingg that you probably hate muslims, at least muslim terrorist sympathisers living in the US (and if you don't, then I'll man up and admit that I do). Should you or I be arrested just for feeling that way? That's what you are asking to be done to "Taliban Dad".

I did. The articles state she had driven him once to the nightclub. That she may have known his plans and begged him not to do anything.

They do not say she drove him that night, or that she certainly knew his plans for that location.

Isn't it reported that he was observed going to that club for a year?

So, my original point stands. She may be seeking counsel to represent her.

If a warrant is issued? That would be the time to cry and scream to track her down.

She would be responsible for any help or assistance before the crime, but does she have the obligation to report?

If she had come to me (assuming I had a criminal practice in Florida) I would advise her to come in freely and cooperate fully.

I would also try to arrange protection for her as a witness, and to make sure I was present during questioning (preferably on video) to protect her civil rights.

A hate crime is more heinous because it is a crime against a group, not just the individual the violence directly harmed. No matter what you hear in the noise machine hate crimes are not thought crimes.

yet, there are many who do object to the argument that say someone kills me because they don't like my race or my gender is worse than killing me because they say don't like the job I did or my politics

killing someone illegally is evil and I think there is something in the sense of a thought crime for punishing some evil more than others and PC has some relevance to said disparate treatment

And I sit here wondering what the heck is happening in this world. A world that argues over whether we need to vet people coming into our country from these areas where Radical Islamic Terrorists are born. A world that argues if guns are the reason we are at this point in our terrible point in society. And law enforcement, doesn't even have the power to hold this lady whose husband murdered 49 people in the name of ISIS/ISIL. For goodness sakes, we have a President who won't even acknowledge ISIS. And, a woman whom we know drove this man to the club where he murdered these people.

And we sit here and argue whether this woman's rights would be violated if we held her for 48, 72 hours. Please tell me that this is not the reality that I currently live in. Please!

We are American people- not just liberals and conservatives, not just Republicans and Democrats. We must make a space in our hearts where the lives of people and their honor and the mourning of their memories means more to us than simply getting our points across. Please tell me that I'm not wrong - that this woman should be held until we get to the bottom of this. Please tell me that her rights for freedom, do not trump the rights of those who lost their lives on Sunday. Please tell me we haven't become this society.

And we sit and argue that the ideal of a conspiracy is laughable. Yet, in what world would the wife of someone who just murdered 49 Americans (the largest mass murder in our country's history) be able to disappear within 72 hours of this crime? Please tell me someone has a reasonable explanation. I for one feel that it is a conspiracy. Only the greatest power in our country could hide this lady. Only the greatest power in our country could hide so many things.

Well, if she does have information of any value the FBI will want to keep her safe fromthose who may not want that information to get out. If she has no information of value then she needs reasonable protection from those who will seek to harm her because she failed to notify the authorities that her husband was a psycho. Basically, it's not the least bit surprising that she's "missing".

Arrest her silly carcass. Waterboard if necessary. And send her a$$ to prison.

A grand jury is going to be convened. Let's let the system work.

That's no argument. You assume facts not in evidence.

So until she becomes a material witness or a suspect herself...she is free to try to avoid involvement like anyone else.

What I'm struggling with is your saying earlier in this thread that you haven't been keeping up with this story and asking for links and yet saying what you have here.

IF?

When I say I haven't been following the story, I meant that aside from "updated headlines" I am not very involved. I have seen nothing in the headlines that she was being sought as a suspect. A quick check after your post shows the same thing.

I went with the OP's statements, and assumed that if she WAS being sought there would have been a link.

Insofar as I'm aware, Noor Salaman is not being "sought." She has, however, told the authorities that she "tried to stop" her husband and about various times she accompanied him.

Thanks. I simply cannot believe the Feds are that incompetent, they know where she is at as does all the news crews in central Florida.

i've been saying the fbi is responsible for this tragedy too because they're that incompetent. A few of their gay hating agents probably held the door open as she left, and does anyone have any doubt now what a piece of **** the father is? Saying he would've reported his son had he known, now refusing to answer where the (seemingly accomplice) wife ran off

Well...being wanted for questioning isn't a criminal offense as far as I understand.

Is there any evidence she was involved, even as a possible accessory?

Has she been charged with anything and a warrant issued?

Now, a possible explanation? Like many people involved as family of victims or the killer in past mass murders she might not want her face plastered all over the world news/internet. She might be seeking legal representation to protect her identity and her rights before appearing for questioning. Or, she simply does not want to be involved at all.

Remember, this is still a free society and unless or until she IS under suspicion and a properly executed warrant has been issued...she is as free as you or I to go wherever she wishes. :coffeepap:

no, she should've been held until they decide whether to charge her or not. There was PLENTY of evidence of her involvement

You have a link? CNN nor Fox have this story,

Seems to be a rumor based on an internet forum post.

I think I'll wait for the video for this one.

This is by far the best post I have ever read in this forum. Thank you for taking the time.

A grand jury is going to be convened. Let's let the system work.

Yeah. The same system that brought us San Berdo. Orlando. And 9/11. Cool.

And why is Matten's dad still not in jail? What part of "Terrorist Sympathizer" are the cops not getting?

And this whole thing has gone from "Another terrorist attack, we need to better check those we let into America" to "It's the gun's fault!" in a span of 3-4 days.

Arrest Mateen's father what grounds?

Do you really think someone can be arrested for what they think?

In the movie Minority Reports one could be arrested for what they think, but that's just a movie.

In this country, thanks to amendments to NDAA funding bills, if the Executive Branch declares a person to be a terrorist suspect, the principle of Habeas Corpus no longer applies, and that person can be held indefinitely. That is NOT a movie.

The lady might be informed enough to be aware of that.

I don't blame her for getting out of town, especially considering the media feeding frenzy.

That's a little extreme. Why are leftists into hurting people so much?

Geez, can't you people take a joke? lol I mean really. LMAO

Loosen those panties will ya? lol

LOL You sound like Trump. What is funny about torture?

Breaking: Wife of Orlando terrorist is now missing

And Megan Kelly just reported it on FOX news.

That's one of the most misleading headlines in recent memory. Getting out of the house and the media feeding frenzy, and family members not telling the media where to go to continue the feeding frenzy, is entirely different than a person "missing."

I'm sure the media outlets are proud of themselves for the click bait, but the rest of us don't have to pretend this is an actual story.
