Probably in part because the Obama administration intimidates inspector generals.

Among all the unanswered questions about the IRS’s illegal targeting of conservative organizations, one is most crucial: Who ordered this extreme scrutiny?

One has to wonder why people like Shulman visited the White House more than 150 times. Then there's Ms. Lerner. Just how much is being covered up and why haven't those in the Fed like Geithner and Goolsbee been subpoenaed both seem to have had a hand in this folly.

It is the White House's position that he absolutely positively did not visit all those times. More like eleven, if I remember correctly. It is usual for people's names to be added to the "possible visitors' list" much more often than the actually visit.

If you believe that. *shrug*

Even 11 times is ten times too many visits.

IRS’s Shulman had more public White House visits than any cabinet member

Well golly - what do you suppose this means?

IRS’s Shulman had more public White House visits than any cabinet member

Publicly released records show that embattled former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman visited the White House at least 157 times during the Obama administration, more recorded visits than even the most trusted members of the president’s Cabinet.

Obama officials who’ve visited the White House (As prepared by The Daily Caller)

Shulman’s extensive access to the White House first came to light during his testimony last week before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Shulman gave assorted answers when asked why he had visited the White House 118 times during the period that the IRS was targeting tea party and conservative nonprofits for extra scrutiny and delays on their tax-exempt applications.

By contrast, Shulman’s predecessor Mark Everson only visited the White House once during four years of service in the George W. Bush administration and compared the IRS’s remoteness from the president to “Siberia.” But the scope of Shulman’s White House visits — which strongly suggests coordination by White House officials in the campaign against the president’s political opponents — is even more striking in comparison to the publicly recorded access of cabinet members.

An analysis by The Daily Caller of the White House’s public “visitor access records” showed that every current and former member of President Obama’s Cabinet would have had to rack up at least 60 more public visits to the president’s home to catch up with “Douglas Shulman.”

The visitor logs do not give a complete picture of White House access. Some high-level officials get cleared for access and do not have to sign in during visits. A Washington Post database of visitor log records cautions, “The log may include some scheduled visits that did not take place and exclude visits by members of Congress, top officials and others who are not required to sign in at security gates.”

You mean to tell us that the 157 entries only come to 11 visits? H'm... do pigs really fly at night in heavy storms?

Even 11 times is ten times too many visits.

Who are you to suggest 11 times is too many visits to the White House? Do you realize that White House is a complex of three buildings one of which is the actual White House?

Yes. I also realize that the guy's predecessor only visited one time.

Of course, Bush wasn't trying to figure out how to suppress the Democrat Vote through IRS harassment. Not much to talk about in that case.

And President Obama was interested in a way to suppress the vote of Republicans?

Actually since the major ringleader of the IRS targeting was a Republican operative, it appears that the powers that be were trying to protect the GOP, which was either creating a false scandal or wanted to tone down the tea baggers, who were causing the GOP to lose elections. Take your pick, either way this is a GOP scandal now.

You need to come up with a new meme, and quick.

H'm I never heard Bush utter the following words at a GOP get together, but Obama has certainly been quoted saying, "Punish your enemies and reward your friends". Just one look at what Benghazi Barry has been doing suggests that he is practicing what he has preached.

We have it on good authority that Douglas Shulman is a Libbie, has donated to the Democratic Party, and Shulman’s Wife Is Left-Wing Campaign Finance Activist.
IRS Commissioner Shulman

Funny you'd forget to mention that?

Must you use juvenile names for President Obama? Does all of the low information crowd do this?

Come on Pete, is this any worse than what Bush has been called by the Left? In truth if you don't like it don't read it.

Take a gander at this recent avatar used and you complain about calling Barack Obama a descriptive name? Would you have preferred I call him Barry Soetoro, or Barry Dunham? We all know he's used those names before.

I'm sure that every candidate is interested in "a way" to suppress the oppositions vote. Obama, unlike every other American politician outside of Chicago, seems to have benefitted from "a way" that used a powerful and intimidating arm of the Federal Government. Being interested in "a way" and using the IRS to fulfill that interest is a pretty large difference.

The Internal Revenge Service is not intended to discriminate against the Citizens of the United States based on their political beliefs or ideology and yet they did so. That discrimination was directed against the opponents of President Obama. The man who directed the agency that ran the intimidation and discrimination campaign was in the White House Complex 157 times, or about every other week. In the interest of connecting the dots, the White House Complex is where Obama goes to work when he's not playing golf.

Remember when the Dems were berserk because the CEO of the oil spill company was boating instead of mopping up oil? Maybe you should hold your party's CEO to the same standard and wonder why, if this guy was in the White House 157 times, was he convinced that this activity should go on?

You: Obama administration intimidates inspector general...

Me: Based on what info?

You: Because Obama.

Are you saying then that the entire IRS was involved in this and it was not, as the Obama administration is trying to sell, some low level, rogue agents?

Do you have a link for this?

Obama is like Mohammed. He can only be portrayed in approved methods.

Suppressing the vote is the way Republicans think... of minorities and the elderly.

No, but sometimes it's fun. It's especially fun when it upsets those who deify him or otherwise hold him above others. He's no better than the rest of us, and it's beginning to look like he's actually substantially worse.

Identifying voters to assure they are qualified to vote is a bad thing?

Weren't you the guy who didn't want the unqualified to be able to donate to political groups? The unqualified should be able to vote, but not to contribute?

Anyone who has a valid voter registration should be able to vote with their signature as proof who they are.

And exactly what level of government should be able to enforce that qualification process?

The Secretary of State, I thought you would have known that.
