Why Republicans Can't Win

PerryLogan said:
No impeachment yet, even though the people are clamoring for it. Funny, isn't it?

No need to prove anything, KC. It's obvious to everybody. The Republicans have effectively destroyed themselves through sheer, mindblowing criminality & ineptitude. Getting into power was the worst thing that could have happened to them.

Thank-you, Republican Party, for showing us what you've got!

Earth calling KC: If Republican officials & corporations are counting our votes honestly, it will be the first honest thing they ever did.

Du-uh!

Impeachment would do nothing for us, with an entire party of inept traitors in power.

We need much more than the impeachment of The Worst President Ever™. We need a jail big enough to house the whole Republican Party. Maybe South Dakota would do the trick.

Oh I see, "no need to prove it anything." Let me translate, folks. Perry can't prove it or else he would.

Oh and "impeachment would do nothing." Translation: We've called for his impeachment for so long and it just isn;t going to happen, so let's change our position and start saying "impeachment would do nothing."

Hey Perry, let us know how that jail idea works out for you.

What exactly would the "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors" be?

Judging others on a partisan basis is dangerous. Not all republicans nor all democrats are horrible people.

Issue by issue, national polls have repeatedly demonstrated that the American people agree with Republicans on most things. This post is a gigantic steaming load.

Oh really? I guess if you ignore the war in Iraq, whether Americans think this country is on the wrong track, Bushs' approval rating, pro-choice views on abortion, gay adoption, and negative views of theocrats like our own Ken Blackwell just for starters, then yes.

(Ever wonder why suburban sprawl directly coincides with Republican voting trends?...suburbia-i.e., middle America is Republican ;) )

Ah yes, people living in their own isolated bubbles where they don't have to come into contact with people different from themselves. Yes, suburbia is for the most part Republican, homogenous and stupid. Coincidence?

Also, this would make the sixth time in a row liberals have told us things like "Republicans can't win." You guys lose your butts every time you say that. Save it for your MoveOn rallies, where people are far more willing to disregard the Truth.

I don't buy that they can't win, but it's sad that they can (in most cases). As if MoveOn is the only place people are willing to disregard the truth. Free Republic would never do that.

I'm sure most of the Bush "voters" exist only in the ethernet. That explains the discrepancy with the polls better than anything.

The principle of Occam's Razor says that the simplest explanation for a phenomenon is the most likely. So...did phantom voters come out of nowhere, vote for the worst President ever, refuse to answer exit polls only in those areas in which electronic voting machines were used (huh!), then refuse to answer any polls for the next two years?

Or are the Republicans corrupt in this, as they are in everything else?

I HIGHLY recommend getting your hands on the DVD "Invisible Ballots".

If our votes are going to count, we need a way to know for certain that they can be counted.

These delusions of the right are quickly shattered...

And yet, the right now controls the house, the senate, the White House, the SCOTUS, the majority of state governships and the majority of state legislatures. Go figure.
