Why permit refugees into your country?

No, but neither would I have sent a boat to Europe to pick them up and bring them here. If you wish to immigrate, you take a boat over and apply. Just like everyone else.

I believe that Jesus would have been somewhat reluctant to take in muslim refugees, but if they had turned around and shown very large degree of belief in him, I believe that he would have embraced them. See Mat. 15, 21-28

By saying that, you wrongly correlate our debt with our social policies. What has caused such debt is our insatiable desire to kill our enemies, not to love the victims of the world. The military has taken the lion's share of that borrowed money, and here's a clue...it ain't liberals blowing up the military budget.

America is such a duplicitous entity. The vast majority of our citizens brag about their christian values but the only ones you see demonstrated are those that are derived from the old testament, at best, and from human greed, at worst. We never turn the other cheek, we don't love our neighbors, we don't love our enemies, we aren't prone to introspection at all. We condemn the souls of gay people, we sacrifice women for fetuses, in Jesus' name but we don't divest ourselves of wealth and we don't care if we're hypocritical.

Furthermore, the ignorance of economics that is on display with every right-wing call to greed is astounding. Do you even realize it doesn't hurt us nearly as badly, if at all, to give money to poor people to spend on food and education. Conversely, the military industrial complex does nothing but waste resources. Every million dollar missile and all of the other munitions that give hawkish conservatives bomb boners, are made to destroy themselves as well as the lives of innocents and the guilty alike. Feeding people and educating them is an investment in a healthier, smarter future. War, even the justifiable ones, are a drain on human wealth and spirit that leave us all worse off.

Your post is a form of propaganda with no connection to reality.
