I guess this perp was a "crazy ass cracka" since he was associated with law enforcement.

ABC11 has learned that a Wake County inmate who was on life support after a fight with a detention officer inside the county jail has died.
According to his family's lawyer, 40-year-old Shon McClain, of Apex, was taken off life support at WakeMed on Monday.

Doctors had been assessing his brain activity following an alleged fight between a detention officer and McClain on June 4.

The officer, who has been identified as Markeith Council, is on paid administrative duty pending a review by the State Bureau of Investigation.

The medical examiner’s report in part corroborates claims made by McClain family attorney Jessie Jeffers about the inmate’s injuries. According to the autopsy report, McClain suffered a broken neck, spinal cord injuries and brain damage that included the swelling of blood vessels and hemorrhaging.

McClain was booked into the Wake County jail May 28 on misdemeanor charges for drinking alcohol in the bus depot at Moore Square in downtown Raleigh and failing to appear in court for possession of drug paraphernalia, state records show.

Jeffers’ request for an investigation into the incident contends that Council picked the inmate up twice and both times slammed his head on the facility’s concrete floor.

The contention was corroborated by two men who also were in custody at the time of the incident.
Braderick Peak and James Elvin Alston III both said McClain and Council exchanged words before Council knocked McClain on the floor. They said McClain threw a punch that never landed on Council, then the detention officer picked McClain up and slammed him to the floor and picked him up to repeat the action.

For crying out loud, when will you guys ever stop bitching and moaning about how you're so persecuted. It's like you had all sorts of rage and frustration that you were just storing up for when Zimmerman got convicted, and then when he didn't you didn't know what to do with it.

It's not like Fox commentators were foaming at the mouth about gang violence 3 years ago. (And before anybody wonders why I bring Fox commentators into it, read the title. It started with an MSNBC commentator.)

Video cameras everywhere. We really can't be sure what exactly happened. Two other inmates aren't exactly trustworthy. But, I vote for video cameras everywhere . . . in jails, cop interrogation rooms . . . patrol cars . . . everywhere. Too expensive? Hell, we waste more money on Starbucks every day than this would cost. People with power should not be allowed to interact with those in their charge unsupervised -- or covered for by a thin blue line.
