Why is the Left so Pro-immigration ?

The same applies to Republican politicians who never bring any jobs into their districts.

Being "Republican" in and of itself does not make one "virtuous". There are bad eggs in many baskets. I believe some of those "bad Republicans" are actually Globalists wearing the sheep's clothing.
Not all but some.

I never said ALL those on the right were good people or good for the nation.

But a good answer to the question is still elusive. Why would anyone think bringing in millions of Muslim refugees, who's core values and beliefs is in stark contrast if not opposition to those of the American culture?

For example...
Liberals support their importation, yet many see gays and lesbians and transgenders as evil and unacceptable.
Liberal women protest for their right to come to America yet many have no respect for womens rights

Allowing immigration in some ways can be a good, humanitarian thing is many cases. Much more so 100 years ago or more when this nation needed people and needed human resources.
And...those coming here really wanted to integrate and become "American".....not come here and change America into the place they fled as is the case today.

However, in light of the modern world, the hatred, the vast differences in culture, the population, the masses competing for dwindling resources, why does the Left by and large feel open borders is a good policy? Charles Schumer for one has promised all out war against Trumps desire to limit immigration at least unit proper procedures for vetting cam be established.

We as a nation are already chest deep in debt, we have a greatly diminished manufacturing sector, our welfare system is in maximum overdrive.....WHY? Why does the Left continue to push for open borders and easy immigration? Do they not see the dangers? Do they not realize that resources are limited and that "someone" has to pay for every immigrant that is granted free services and government subsidies?

The easy answer of course is that they do it because immigrants will mostly vote Democrat and without immigrant votes, their power base will weaken...but is this truth or just a Right wing myth?

Personally, it seems like madness to me to want open borders. We have a recent example to base our opinions on, Germany, and it's ugly and supports the notion that unvetted mass acceptance of immigrants from certain parts of the world is a recipe for disaster. yet even this does not discourage the Left from fighting tooth and nail for open borders and allowing in anyone and everyone.

Leftists need the illegal vote so they can force total and complete socialism on Americans. Decent normal Americans don't want any part of this. We want our country and for each American to live in peace with minimal gov't intrusion into our lives.

Most American are in favor of immigration , it's illegals that they object to . No different than someone cutting a long line and thumbing their nose at them . Follow OUR laws and it will be ok .

So would you say "most" Americans would be in favor of 10 million or more Muslim immigrants from the Middle East if they came here "legally"?

Why would most Americans be in favor of this given that the vast majority will not integrate but instead will seek to change our nation into the one the left using a lot of taxpayer funded welfare in the process?
How does this make any sense? This is not the 1800's where we "need" immigration per se.

Would a "better" solution be some assistance to them helping them improve their own countries? If we change the USA into a 3rd world Middle Eastern country, THEN who will there be to help others?

It is conveniently ignored that America, that terrible Christian nation, has provided more relief to the world's inhabitants than all other nations combined.

Any immigrant who can contribute and who doesn't have ties to violent groups seems like a reasonable person to allow in. Why would anyone think otherwise?

Obama kept building Bush's wall. Removal/Deportation numbers stayed roughly constant overall. Removal/Deportation policy remained the same. In fact, Obama required multi-level and significant vetting of refugees.

First of all US has one of the most rigid immigrations rules on the planet. It has minimum of 5 year vetting process for anyone to be even be considered. For Refugees the process is faster but again being vetted extremely harsh.

And also besides all of that it is utterly stupid to think you can stop terrorist to come from Iran and yet that determined terrorism can go to canada and obtain a fake Canadian passport and enter the boarder from north or any other country. IT is moronic!

And unless you close your boarder to all immigrants and visitors alike difficult to Vet "Muslim Terrorist" Since religion is not written on the passport.

I don't think that they are. What they are is "pro-anything the right opposes." If the right suddenly switched to being pro-illegal immigration, I'd bet that within a year, the left would be leading the anti-illegal immigration charge.

If this was such an important issue to teh left, you would think that they'd be far more vocal about it and would be standing shoulder to shoulder when the right talks about stopping illegal immigration. Instead, they leave the podium to the pro-illegal immigration types to dominate the discussion.

Go to any medical facility and see the doctor's list. read about research advances and see the names attached. See who paves our streets, builds our houses, hell works in the chicken processing plants. It really doesn't take much to see there is an advantage to a nation of many ethnic origins. See a list of names of those who died in our recent wars. read the names of our LEOs, our firemen, our EMTs.

Because most immigrants who are here legally (including naturalized citizens) tend to lean left. Obviously the leadership doesn't want to alienate them.
