Why is the average I.Q. only 95?

Whatever he was, if his "IQ" was lower than half the so-called geniuses who get posted in top-10 rankings these days, then they should all be ashamed of themselves for not using that higher IQ for anything.
There are a lot of people in the world like that. I know kids that could have breezed though college that parties and flunked out instead.
 
I would disagree. But that's a different topic, and a bit complex.
Certainly education can make you smarter, but "intelligence" as it's measured by tests is usually not about content knowledge. It's stuff like pattern recognition. Even that can be improved with practice, but it's not "education."
