There are many questions we could ask about our society and our way of life but perhaps the most important is: how could a millionaire reality star be handed the keys to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? The answer is simple but the roots of that answer are as complex as the structure of the DNA molecule.

The answer is that the election of our current president is a last-ditch effort to save our democracy. The people watched in horror as a wooden example of ideological ventriloquism with a Cracker-Jack-box affirmative-action education was presented to the people as a color-coded representation of political correctness and an enlightened intellectual.

The fact that so many of the people bought the scam was especially distressing. It became clear that the political establishment of the United States was willing to sell out the people and solidify its privileged position by harvesting a confused, delusional population with no sense of history, essentially defenseless against the coming wave of globalization that eats democracies like a hungry shark.

We were all warned in school about ideologies founded on the evil principles of the end justifying the means where central planning is king, oppression is constant, personal liberty is non-existent and diversity of thought is a threat punished by exile, imprisonment and mass graves.

But the people are exposed to a ubiquitous flood of Walter-Durante-type fiction journalism masquerading as real news but functioning as government propaganda. Journalism in America has quietly and subversively shifted from the dissemination of actual information to a kind of “infotainment” mechanism that dulls the senses of the reader or viewer.

With vanishing skepticism and inquisitiveness it reduces the people to a cartoon audience stuffing their faces with cheese popcorn while the rug of their democracy is pulled out from under them. What Mao Zedong and Joseph Stalin failed to do with an iron fist the political establishment in the US is accomplishing by simply making the people so uninformed, misinformed and mal-informed that they won’t know what’s happening until it’s all over.

The people are running through the streets hitting each other with sticks, running each down with automobiles and tearing down statues. Putin is smiling as crazed mobs try to erase our history. Globalization is central planning on a planetary scale and the American political establishment gave in to it decades ago.

Our current president is our last chance to fight it.

Your post is deeply Disturbed.

Hmm... what explains Trumps win over (16?) republicant rivals in the primary? We all know that Hillary was a weak candidate but your bizarre focus on Obama is off the mark. The biggest Trump mystery is why a guy for lower federal taxes and more federal spending (wanted more infrastructure and to cover everybody under TrumpCare?) was seen as a great "conservative" alternative.

Your five-word response is noted. Any chance you could compose a rebuttal with a complete paragraph?

Try to read more carefully. Trump won by defeating the "political establishment".

If I were you, I wouldn't be puttin' eggs in that basket.

POTUS is a reality star because the indoctrinated masses have been conditioned to think they need one. Plus, they are bored, and rather in an induced permanent state of "willing suspension of disbelief."

The average American is a subject, not a skeptical citizen. We likes our TV heroes.

Me, I've never watched "reality TV" and could not give any sort of definition of what it actually is.

And that is why all of the powers that be oppose him.

When was the last time that both political parties have been so thoroughly exposed as the incestuous cooperative that they have become?

I don't think he was seen so much as a CONSERVATIVE alternative as just an alternative.

We've had about 70 years of the modern Demacons or Republicrats ruining us.

There is obviously no difference between the outcomes from either of these two gangs of swindlers.

Trump is a departure and the American people see this to be true.

The supporters of the establishment oppose him.

The supporters of America support him.

Eliciting clear thinking from some sources is difficult.

I wouldn't waste my time...

Trump won because the democrats presented a lousier option and ****ed over Sanders. He didn't win because he was good. He is a corrupt flip flopping lying sack of **** who says anything that he thinks will get him elected. Grant it Clinton is also a corrupt lying sack of **** who will say anything to get elected. Heck considering he media was clearly on Clinton's side she should have easily won. Trump won because the public outside of Commie-fornia,Newyork and other lib-tard cities couldn't stand Clinton. He didn't win because the democrats were out of touch with the white working class voters, college educated were out of touch with the rest of the country, loony lib-tard conspiracy of Trump Russian collusion, sexism or racism or any other excuse democrats try to explain why the lost other than the fact they had a ****teir candidate. .

Trump is not anti-establishment.Donating money to liberal democrats and RINO republicans is the opposite of being anti-establishment. Praising and supporting the jobs of liberal democrats and RINO republicans is the opposite of being anti-establishment. Having a former president and first lady at your wedding and occasionally hanging out with them is the opposite of anti-establishment. Considering Trump's past liberal pistons and tendency to change positions more often than a indecisive porn store you will be lucky to get even a quarter of the things Trump campaigned on. Trump is not this country's last hope. The people who voted him in the primary are either ****en retarded or delusional.

Though, much of your post is quite right it seems a very daring presumption that Trump as President could "save our democracy".

Based on the way things have been going he's pretty much all there is. Sometimes you just have to go with what you've got.

Why do you refer to him as a reality star. That show was probably about 1% of what he has done and accomplished in his life.

Are you really that shallow?

You do realize that profits are what is giving us globalization

Activities by the same people who choose our candidates.

We have the government THEY choose.

They've just cleverly convinced you its the government that is ****ing everything up instead of simple greed.

Why do you refer to him as a reality star. That show was probably about 1% of what he has done and accomplished in his life.

Are you really that shallow?

Absolutely right. Another large percentage of what he's done is laundered mob money and gone bankrupt in his casino business, defrauded "Trump University" students, failed in several other companies including his steak and airline business, and gotten himself elected president through his alliance with white supremacists and isolationists. One should give credit where credit is due!

"Departure" is a mighty vague term.

My dog would be a "departure".

Same with a bad shortcut.

At best you cut out the middleman.

Making someone of the politician sponsoring class president.

Politicians seem to follow the roles that Reagan identified and changed in his day:

"If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. If it stops moving, subsidize it."

The people, as represented by the rises and falls of the stock market recently realize that Trump, as was Reagan, is the key to a brighter future for them individually and as group.

As long as Trump is seemingly solid and has his agenda even somewhat going forward, the stock market has been rocketing upward.

At those times when it seems like he might be getting in big trouble; like when the the Special Prosecutor was christened and during this last week amid the Alt Right diversions, the Stock market drops like a stone in a pond.

The Democrats and the Republicans are working mightily to scuttle his plans. Their cheerleaders in the press are trying to whip the dogs into a panicked frenzy.

If Trump is able to continue his drive to reduce regulation (so far, 16 dropped for every new one added) and is able to get the swindling members of Congress to actually do something about healthcare, taxes and trade, everyone knows it will be better for the average guy.

Having our lawmakers working against our best interests is nothing new. It's been going on for years.

Having someone trying to move them out of the way so we can prosper is rare. It's been about 30 years.

THAT'S the departure I was talking about.
