During an ABC Town Hall last week, George Stephanopoulous stated to Trump, "You've been trying to strike down pre-existing conditions," referring, apparently, to the fact that Trump, like nearly all Republicans, is trying to strike down the ACA.

The implication of the entire exchange was that Trump did not support a pre-existing condition guarantee, and that his intention was to eliminate any such guarantee in any future efforts at healthcare reform.

Trump has vocalized support for the pre-existing condition guarantee since the Republican Primary in 2016. As is proven in the following two video clips...

Nice rigged poll questions. Trump is just lying. Everything he has actually done disproves his con man statements.

You do understand that opposing the ACA is not synonymous with opposing the pre-existing condition guarantee.

This obsession with "Trump lying" seems like the Biden Campaign is trying to use our criticism of Hillary against us.

You are lying. Trump is trying to bring back pre-existing conditions.

Oral arguments begin the week after Election Day

Did any of you actually watch the Republican Primary in 2016?

Any of the debates?

All of this was covered, extensively.

I sincerely can't tell if you are purposely lying, or if you have sincerely been brainwashed by the liberal media for four years.

Who gives a shit about debates from 2016? Oral arguments before the Supreme Court about whether to keep pre-existing conditions begin the week after Election Day.

Trump is on the wrong side of them.

Greenbeard, you are now lying.

Read carefully.

Trump OPPOSES THE ACA but he WILL PRESERVE THE PRE-EXISTING CONDITION GUARANTEE IN THE NEW PLAN

If you continue posting over and over that there is no pre-existing condition guarantee without the ACA, you are committing intentional fraud.

Trump OPPOSES THE ACA but he WILL PRESERVE THE PRE-EXISTING CONDITION GUARANTEE IN THE NEW PLAN

The "new plan" was introduced and voted down in 2017. It didn't protect people with pre-existing conditions, which is why it was the most unpopular piece of legislation in decades. Trump is back now trying to finish the job in the courts.

FACT CHECK: FALSE!!!

"Here's what the latest Obamacare repeal bill would really do:

Just as in Obamacare, insurers could not turn away those with pre-existing conditions. But it would leave it up to the states whether to continue other protections."

The House GOP's Congressional Budget Office, on the impact of Trump's awful bill:

Community-rated premiums would rise over time, and people who are less healthy (including those with preexisting or newly acquired medical conditions) would ultimately be unable to purchase comprehensive nongroup health insurance at premiums comparable to those under current law, if they could purchase it at all—despite the additional funding that would be available under H.R. 1628 to help reduce premiums. As a result, the nongroup markets in those states would become unstable for people with higher-than-average expected health care costs. That instability would cause some people who would have been insured in the nongroup market under current law to be uninsured.
Over time, it would become more difficult for less healthy people (including people with preexisting medical conditions) in those states to purchase insurance because their premiums would continue to increase rapidly.
People living in states modifying the EHBs who used services or benefits no longer included in the EHBs would experience substantial increases in out-of-pocket spending on health care or would choose to forgo the services.
Although the agencies expect that the legislation would increase the number of uninsured broadly, the increase would be disproportionately larger among older people with lower income—particularly people between 50 and 64 years old with income of less than 200 percent of the federal poverty level . . . For older people with lower income, net premiums would be much larger than under current law, on average.
However, the agencies estimate that about one-sixth of the population resides in areas in which the nongroup market would start to become unstable beginning in 2020. That instability would result from market responses to decisions by some states to waive two provisions of federal law, as would be permitted under H.R. 1628.

Trump's obsession with lying is the source of the obsession with Trump lying. Do you know his lawyers can't even let him be deposed because he is literally unable to not lie?

Some of those are fair criticisms of the bill.

But you need to stop lying lol.

You posted that Trump's bill "didn't protect people with pre-existing conditions".

It clearly did.

The issue is that people with pre-existing conditions would have to pay more in premiums. Not that they would be cut off.

Trump's obsession with lying is the source of the obsession with Trump lying.

Well, according to this CNN analysis of Trump's 2017 bill, again, Trump is, and was, telling the truth.

And liberals, surprise surprise, are lying.

The issue is that Trump tried to price sick people out of their coverage. And is now in court trying to strip it away entirely.

First...when you make a poll, be honest and provide other answers. Second, here's why Trump's stance on pre-existing conditions is so much BS:

Ridiculous pole. Trump has been talking sh** since 2017. He has promised a new health care law all along and produced nothing. If the SCOTUS strikes down the ACA, they strike down Pre-existing Conditions with it. Trump has no replacement plan.

And imagine this. Without a guarantee of coverage for people with PEC, anyone who has tested positive for Covid will be denied insurance or at least be charged so much they can't cant afford the premiums.

Trump is a partisan hack. He is an evil man. The republicans are evil people. His main reason for striking down the ACA is because it has Obama's name on it.
Trump is a vengeful jerk.

Ersatz president Donald Trump has had 1339 days since his DAY ONE pledge of his presidency to submit his bigger, better, cheaper Trumpcare healthcare plan with his alleged protections for "preexisting conditions" yet he has not done so. Rather what he has done in the 1340 days of his presidency is try and try to totally eliminate the PPACA with executive pronouncements and lawsuits all while merely paying lip service to protecting "preexisting conditions" in any health care plans. How many times has ersatz president Donald Trump promised his bigger, better, cheaper Trumpcare plan was a mere couple weeks from release over the last 1340 days of his presidency? Was it five times now? Or was it six? It is not ABC that was lying, it is Trump who was and is lying in his words and deeds on "preexisting conditions". Politically well informed folks can see this truth for what it is, the truth. MAGA 🇷🇺

Alas, another Poll with no viable options to choose from because the options DO NOT reflect any political reality.

How sad.

Tweety and his sycophants are doing everything they can to eliminate preexisting conditions protections.

Do you understand the ACA is under attack by the gop and has been for years. If this current lawsuit against the ACA succeeds, all of those people with preexisting conditions will lose their healthcare and since the republicans have been promising us for ten years they are going to replace the ACA with something better, people will have nothing. Trump can say whatever he wants, it's the actions I'm concerned with.

It isn't just ABC. It is the entire left. Because Republicans have been trying to get rid of O'care, which has both pre-existing conditions and expanded Medicare, the left falsely portray Trump and the Republicans of wanting to get rid of pre-existing conditions and will take people's health care away. It would actually help Trump's and the right's cause if they actually had a plan written down on paper. Then the left would be unable to lie about their position.

The Supreme Court will not hear the current lawsuit against the ACA until this Spring.

By which time, Republicans will have drafted, and Congress will have passed, a replacement health care plan, which protects pre-existing conditions. Given that Democrats don’t block it.

Trump has been extremely consistent in vocalizing his promise that the pre-existing condition guarantee will be protected in any new plan proposed/passed.

Looking back four years, I cannot find one example of Trump making a political promise on policy, and then reversing it.

Give the guy some credit here.

The Supreme Court will not hear the current lawsuit against the ACA until this Spring.

Oral arguments are on November 10.

The GOP will continue to have proposed nothing on health care by then, even as they argue in court that pre-existing conditions should come back.
