Of course Inuyasha, there exist boorish Europeans and cultured United Statesians, but I do find the general level of culture more elevated in Europe (a personal and subjective view I concede)
I find an enourmous difference between the United Statesians who have travelled and had their horizons broadened, and those who haven't. I think it's so sad that so few of them actually possess passports and don't have the travel bug which is engrained in many Europeans: admitteldy they're not helped by their geographical location, while we in Europe don't have to travel far to see another country. Add to this, US news which is heavily focussed on the local (apart from the poor quality Faux News and CNN Lies). I spent time in Dallas and had to go well out of my way to find decent news that wasn't just about Dallas/Fort Worth. I've met people in Chicago that didn't know London was the capital of England, had never heard of Slovenia and couldn't name prominent western european leaders. You see this insularity on these boards, and given that the US is such a major power (albeit diminishing fast) this to me represents a major problem.
