Why do they hate us?

Calm2Chaos said:
Does the video happen to show what led up to that point or is it just cut that way on purpose? Was that man holding an RPG a second or two prior? Until I know the full story I am not going to say anything concerning the video. Until then it's just propaganda

Did the man lying on the ground look like much of a threat to you?

Here's the official CNN transcript of the show.

Please explain how a CNN transcipt becomes "official"....

If I said "official FoxNews transcript" would that obtain more or less credibility?

Well, it's possible the information clearing house website doctored the transcript. So that's why I posted the one from CNN itself. This isn't rocket science.......

I think you missed the point....

Whose to say that CNN didn't self-doctor it? They weren't known as the Clinton News Network for nothing...

If you are saying, "CNN wrote it, so it MUST be true!", then please excuse me while I roll my eyes...

I didn't miss the point -- you didn't state your concern clearly. It's *official* in that it is what CNN chooses to release to the public.

In spite of your questioning CNN's credibility in this matter (as you have every right to), the *subject* of the segment is credible -- about how war changes/dehumanizes combat soldiers. It's a thoroughly documented concept by multiple sources/scholars/psychologists/whatever. If you care to research it, you will see that what CNN was reporting is not only feasible, but probable.

now if you are a holy place do you want these things close to you NO you dont
You obviously have the mind of a Muslim who hates anyone who is not a devout Muslim. I can understand your anger at the U.S. government and I wish there was a way to change both your mind and the foriegn policy of the American government so there would be peace between Muslims the rest of the world.

)ne hundred and fifty years ago there was a similar conflict going on in America which involved our Native Americans and "the white eyes". The Indians didn't want to change their culture in the face of unstoppable progress by civilation. And they were almost exterminated. Today there are no Native American insurgents trying to kill whites because they had enough common sense to give up their lifestyle and become civilized. Why don't Muslims do the same and join the human race and live in peace?

Eventually, the vast majority of human beings will cease to believe in some supreme being. It is only a matter of time. Most intelligent people already accept this even if most cannot freely admit it for fear of reprisals. Certainly most of the well to do don't live their lives in accordance with any religious doctrines. They wouldn't be well off if they did because the Bible teaches the complete opposite of a financially successful lifestyle. Going to church and giving a small portion of their incomes to those churches only provides a prosperous lifestyle for the preachers and their families. Churches don't give money to the poor, they take it from them with the false promise of financial rewards from God.

Everything is a business. America is a business. Saudi Arabian oil is a business. Life can't exist without business. Even the Native Americans found that out and are now running Casino's.

What is the business of Muslims? Hate? Wake up and smell the roses. Make money, not war.

I'm pretty positive that BIBLEmark1018 is not a Muslim... Just a thought.

The indians didn't want to change their culture? They didn't want to change their place of residence. We took their land. We murdered them. Their were many Native American tribes that believed that battle would drive the white man from their home. It was their home after all. Have you ever heard of Wovoka? Have you ever heard of the battle at Wounded Knee? What we did to the Natives of this country is a stigma on America's flag. We took their homes and we murdered their peoples. We killed their culture. They didn't change it. We killed it.

I think as the world progresses so will spirituality. It may move away from "Religion," but not spirituality.

Are you completely devoid of emotions? Do you not feel ashamed? Must we sink to their level? Show that we are just a bit more civilized then they are?

No I don't suppose so. . .

What it make a difference? Taking any kind of pleasure out of killing a human being is sick. Just plain sick.

I have plenty of emotion thank you very much...LOL And if you don't start talking nicer to me or i'm going to cry.....
You can't fight a moral war, isn't that an oxymoron of some sort. Your job is to "KILL" people. Those same people are trying to kill you. So if someone attempts to blow you up and you get the upper hand and kill them first. Yeah I can see that give you some kind of limited joy. Your alive and there dead. It could just as well been the other way. Unless you have been there with your ass in the grass. It's pretty damm hard to critisize a soldiers feelings. He is day in and day out avoiding those that are looking to kill him. You want him to show compassion in a setting were compassion can get you killed. I don't know the whole story behind that clip. If that was an innocent civilian walking down the street and he just decided to shoot him. Then thats horrible, he needs to be taken out of the field and put in jail pending a trial. But if that man was previously pointing an AK-47 at me trying to kill me... **** I'm gonna finish the job so I don't have to worry about you later. Thats there job and thats what they deal with every day

Then maybe we should learn how to fight a moral war because we are no different then the terrorists if it comes down to that. What makes us so good and right and just if this is all we can amount to? It almost makes them seem like they might actually have a reasonable quarrel which is insane. This whole thing is absolutely crazy.

There is no such thing as a moral war. And I don't see how it makes it seem like they have a reasonable quarrel? If he killed a civilian then he should and will be dealt with. the difference is that type of thing for the most part won't be tolerated with our soldiers and within our country. Kind of the polar opposite for them. Again though, I reserve judgement until I see the rest of the tape and know the whole story.

Calm you crack me up. You must be an advocate for government sanctioned murder. lol

By his spelling and general lack of a proper sentence structure, I assumed he was a foreigner, or a Muslim because of his obvious dislike of America.

We murdered them? I think we were defending ourselves originally and then had to take drastic measures to eliminate the warriors of their tribes. Some genocide was practiced, but I'm talking about the advance of civilization into a new land. That was never going to be halted by the Indians or anybody else.

I think as the world progresses so will spirituality. It may move away from "Religion," but not spirituality.

Anyone who can think independantly for themselves cannot rationally come to a conclusion that an almighty, invisible, supreme being, which has always existed and will always exist, created the Universe and can control it at his/her pleasure. The Universe and everything in it needs no "supreme being" to continue to exist. The Universe has always been and will always be. The existence of nothing is impossible.

The existence of nothing is immpossible to prove just like the creation of the Universe is. Just try to imagine no space, no matter, no time. There has always been space, matter and time.

Anyone who can think independently for themselves cannot look around and see everything that they see and how perfect it all is when it comes to the compatibility of the Earth in relationship to man and then think... Big bang?

I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about. Sure, our country isn't perfect. But that's not the topic. It's, "Why do you think terrorists hate us." Get that straight. Now, if you want to talk about the bombings in Japan, you're obviously not educated enough to have a serious debate. All I can say is that, regardless of the women or children that were killed in the process, we hit Japan where it hurt.

Anyhow, I think that that terrorists hate us because of people like "biblemark1018" who have no idea what they're talking about.
