Why do gun rights advocates think more guns are safer?

I know every gun rights advocate on DP is fully aware fatal mass shootings happen very frequently in America. This is extremely obvious proof that more guns = more deaths + more injuries. We know mass shootings happen every day in America.

So I need to know why any gun rights advocate believes America would be safer if gun control laws did not exist because the problem has been getting worse every year despite the existence of gun control laws that they say are unconstitutional.

It is literally impossible to want all Americans to have the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, but also want the United States to have more mass shootings and gun-related injuries and deaths than almost any other country on Earth.
 


Who wants the US to have more mass shootings and gun related injuries please name names.
 
Show me a place in America where there is less gun violence because there are more gun control laws.

You have failed to show that wanting fewer gun laws is the same as wanting to see mass shootings. You started with a dishonest assessment.

My firearms are decidedly unsafe for anyone threatening my family's safety or invading my home.
 
I like my firearms and wish I had more and I feel extra safe. I'm also totally cool with anyone who prefers not to own any.
 
The ammosexuals don't care about other people. 'But I need it for self-defense.' Uuhh, I'm going to guess that less than 1% of American gun owners have used their guns for self defense.
 
The 2nd amendment has been in force since 12/15/1791. Mass shootings are a fairly modern occurrence.. If you truly gave a damn about solving the issue, you would go after the actual causes, such as inner city gang violence, substance abuse, mental health, and our revolving door criminal justice system.
 
What country has low gun deaths and lax gun laws because they did what you suggested?

The USA is the one with a revolving door criminal justice system. If I recall, you claimed to have been a cop at some point. yOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT.

And in my 65 years, I've faced a barrel once. It also ended without a shot being fired. And no, I don't spend anytime worrying about what might have been, or if it could happen again.

I suspect the same thing could be said for fire extinguishers.

It only has to be necessary once to validate the Second Amendment....but in the end, the Second Amendment does not have to validate itself ever....its an inherent right, not a privilege.
