Why Are Dems So Sycophantic Towards Obama?

blindly following leaders tends to be a left wing proclivity since left-wingers crave collectivist action
Say, wasn't it your party that blindly led us into a war based on false evidence and increased the debt more than any party in US history?

I love when Obama lovers claim that the US is more respected now. That often means that the current leader is less likely to push the Pro-American agenda than the last guy. Liberals think our president should kowtow to foreign interests than Conservatives usually do. Obama is an appeaser

Thats what the polls show. So who are we gonna believe, you or the polls?

Say, wasn't it your party that blindly led us into a war based on false evidence and increased the debt more than any party in US history?

Uh no, What Bush said was no different than what Mr Hide the Cigar said

Thats what the polls show. So who are we gonna believe, you or the polls?

You apparently didn't understand what I said. I couldn't care less if we are more popular with jihadists, eurosocialists and communist appeasers. In fact the more popular we are with such scum, the worse off we are

Uh no, What Bush said was no different than what Mr Hide the Cigar said

Uh, what Bush said and what Bush did are two different things. It's takes a special kind of idiot to go to war under false pretenses...for his daddy.

Uh, what Bush said and what Bush did are two different things. It's takes a special kind of idiot to go to war under false pretenses...for his daddy.

as usual you are assuming facts not in evidence

Just curious. I mean he is not popular. His signature policy "achievement"is quite unpopular. Yet Dems in congress, even from red states, vote lockstep for anything he wants. Likewise on this forum. The level of fealty to him on here by some borders on that shown towards a monarch, not an elected leader.
Obama is a good Democrat. That's really all he needs to be. It's all any liberal needs to be.

You apparently didn't understand what I said. I couldn't care less if we are more popular with jihadists, eurosocialists and communist appeasers. In fact the more popular we are with such scum, the worse off we are
No, I didn't misunderstand you. I love it when tea party hacks go into denial about something they said. Because it makes them look like liars and hypocrits.

I love when Obama lovers claim that the US is more respected now. That often means that the current leader is less likely to push the Pro-American agenda than the last guy. Liberals think our president should kowtow to foreign interests than Conservatives usually do. Obama is an appeaser.

Liberals tend to give Obama the benefit of the doubt in terms of his intent. We're pretty pissed about some of his results. We are not blind to his support for government surveillance, or for letting big business interests run unchecked, or to the military interventionist policies of his predecessors. We also see that the alternatives presented by conservatives are just as bad and often worse. As I have said many times, there is no party of small government or hands off government. There is no party that doesn't cater to the interests of big business and especially the banks.

Liberals are critical of Obama, but we know that he's one of the best of the available choices.

They stopped the economy from sinking into another great depression and passed one of the biggest major reforms this country has seen since FDR. I'd say they solved some real problems...or at least prevented them from getting worse. What have Republicans done?
The bailout stemming the flood was performed under the GWB administration, so wrong. The stimulus, though touted by Obama to be the cure and to get us back to general Bush era employment rates, only sank us deeper in debt. All those shovel ready jobs? Remember those that 0 promised us?

Obama jokes about 'shovel-ready projects'

...good for the comedians perhaps, the rest of us that are working are paying the piper...

You have the tea party Republicans to thank for that.
Wow, just throw the kitchen sink at the tea parties... that will cure everything from a libs point of view, huh? Purely Nonsensical.

The majority say they don't want Obamacare...but they like the separate parts that are in it. The fact that it hasn't taken effect yet is a bit premature to say it's not working.
Separate the parts...trying to force this big horse pill with all sorts of other addicting government drugs down our throats isnt working, its not going down. The fact that everyone and his brother is trying to get out from under this train wreck is significant even though it has not yet been implemented. Who wants to play Russian Roulette with only one missing bullet. Hardly any of us are that foolish.

BTW, have you read the Affordable Care Act? I have and its not 3000 pages long with 10K regulations. It's only 906 pages and fairly easy to read if you care to actually read it so you can have a more informed opinion.....

Well, if its that easy, just explain it to me. Here. I am an intelligent person.

And just to test you, what if I get throat cancer and have not paid to get the insurance necessary. What happens then? What coverage am I afforded? And are they going to throw me in jail if i still do not get the insurance?

You are extremely misinformed. The deficit has been shrinking at a faster rate than at any time since WW2....

Uh huh. Think we are on better terms with Israel? Germany? Canada? England? France? Russia? China, Taiwan? You just gave me another reason not to trust polls. The US in 2009 trusted the boob to make the right decision in world affairs by 74%, hogwash. We have never been that clueless. And Pew's association with the parent company that owned the Los Angeles Times, a hugely liberally biased newspaper that dying a karmic death, people are just tired of being fed liberal loads that have better benefit being dumped in the fields. Bush did things, things that will be looked upon as great things, backed up what he said, did not lead from behind [ oxymoron ], knew his allies... who are our good allies now? Who is really on our team?

The only complaint of yours that's valid is the government spying on US citizens. The rest is just mindless partisan hackery. If you want to run around like a chicken little thats your business...but I prefer to be informed and make up my own mind.
And those who live in glasses little lady, should not be throwing pipe bombs. You are just as lost as most other liberals...doing what you think is the right thing in the most superficial manners.

I take it that you don't approve of Obama and his presidency ... Am I right? I feel bad for you ... he has more than three years left ... you guys should've done more in November to win ... for example, you could've had more respect for poor and working-class people, you could've left women's vaggies alone, you could've fielded a viable candidate (or at least told him that Iran and Syria don't share a border and that Iran has its own access to the sea), you should've respected people's right to vote and not tried to prevent them from voting, ... in other words, you could've understood much better what this country is about and you could've put this country ahead of party ... you could've been more competent ... so, please, enough of the whining ...

It's hysterical when partisan hacks tell other people that they're blindly supporting a party that they themselves venomously oppose and blindly disagree with.

Yes...I'm a libertarian partisan hack.

:rolleyes

Got it? Good.

NO.... and good lord, NOT EVEN CLOSE. You can no more back either of those statements up than an elephant can do the cha cha in a telephone booth.

Perhaps takes someone even more challenged to believe those to be the real facts of the matter. Again, care to prove the point rather than just cast the ad hominem aspersions? We are not so far from the real facts that the liberals have been able to completely erase the truths.

No, whats nonsense is the threat to shut down the government if they don't get their way. Even ol Boehner admits that the tea party is a big problem in congress. It's hard to reason with turnips.

Here ya go...the facts of the matter.....

"...In discussing the threat posed by Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, Bush said: "After all, this is the guy who tried to kill my dad."....

He said the Iraqi leader's "hatred" was largely directed at the United States and added: "After all, this is the guy who tried to kill my dad."

In his speech September 12 to the United Nations on Iraq, Bush mentioned the alleged plot to kill a former U.S. president but did not mention that it was his father. The alleged assassination attempt came when former President Bush visited Kuwait during the Clinton administration. The former president had orchestrated the U.S.-led coalition that pushed the Iraqi army from Kuwait in the Persian Gulf War....

Libs stand by their man and follow him over a cliff like lemmings, it's just who and what they are.

Ironically though they are using Ronald Reagan's playbook to do it. Criticize no republican has become quite the opposite

You do realize who is responsible for the sequester, right? And only because dim dems cannot, to save their own lives, cut a dime. Its all spend spend then spend and we wanna spend more, yanno? Yeah, you know.

Oh and all that silliness linked, I wont be reading your stuff anymore, but please try harder not link to stuff that absolutely wastes other people's valuable time, I mean try a little empathy...isn't that supposed to be one of the cornerstones of liberalism, what libs are supposed to be good at? That and diversity of thought, at least as long as everyone believes like you do.

Out of the almost 1 trillion in 0'stim money, 100 bil went to shovel ready...most the rest went to pay off teachers and unions, buy/influence votes for next election...and the economy did just what the big zer 0 said it would do...oh, wait, maybe not...

Yeah, listening to Boehner, well, is almost like listening to Nancy or Harry [ except they both sound like girls ] or the big zer 0 himself... establishment types, in for the cronyism, big business and fat cats who can either bring the green or the votes if you bring them the green. I ll stick with my tea party types, they are independent, have and maintain values, know their history and respect the founders...your guys are all on board with Marx, Lennin, Mao and the other Lennon ... Imagine there's no freedom, its easy if you try, no hell below us [ just all around us], above us only Mao, Imagine all the people, living life in serfdooooOOoooommmmMMMmmm, ...well, you know the rest.

Besides, wont hurt a thing to shut the govt down, been done lots of times. The big zer 0 is usually on vacation or the golf course anyhow, so who will notice?

Read what I wrote...its easy if you try...

Apparently not, if you can't read it for yourself.
Why do I want to read something nobody can make sense of and will only be used in the future to line the bottom of bird cages... and thanks, you have demonstrated you have not a clue either.

Yeah, me and about 300 million other folks...its free, look Martha... and and and grab the kids, its all freeeeeEEEEEeeeeeeee

Uh huh, yeah, and so you give an Obama website to confirm...righto....no thanks, dear, I have seen the numbers myself...

I don't really care.
Exactly, will make no difference...keep making my points, guess yours are moot [ second meaning: of little or no practical value or meaning; purely academic ] ... at this point...

Whatever. Perhaps when you post something relevent then we'll talk again, mk?
That is all I post, well, not relevent but rather relevant.... but nahhh, I do not see us ever having the possibility of discussing too much of importance critically, would be too much to expect, one of us, not me, would have to study up, change points of view, not necessarily to mine, but one closer to the facts.

Good try with Jed tho, but the 0 website back up, c'mon...

For the same reasons so many righties seem to have Obama Derangement Syndrome.

... Its about the fact that the left is the party of collective thought and sheep like group think. ...

Anyone who would say that has never been to a meeting of leftists. The left is comprised of very diverse people with a wide variety of interests, priorities and preferred tactics. I suspect most leftists would agree that we would be more effective if we could achieve more unity.

Just curious. I mean he is not popular. His signature policy "achievement"is quite unpopular.

It's not unpopular when you break down the individual parts and explain them separately. The GOP Is having a hard time replacing Obamacare because majority of Americans like the parts. No donut hole, no refusal on preconditions, free market exchanges for insurance, etc. The GOP did a good job at demonizing at the whole level something that people like at the part level.

Yet Dems in congress, even from red states, vote lockstep for anything he wants.

Such as....?

You seem very young.

What is more amusing is that people who backed Bush 100% are against what is effectively a third and forth Bush term.
