Who's a bigger threat to this country? George W. Bush? Or the people that constantly make excuses for his behavior and decisions?

Maybe.

Maybe not.

I don't know yet.

I vote for weak kneed, cheese eating surrender monkeys who hate Bush so much they bend over for the jihadists:mrgreen:

There is already a thread for them so they don't count. We're talking about Bush and Bush apologists which are just are bad a surrender monkeys.

A bigger threat to who??? Liberals?

I'd have to go with the Bush apologists. Bush can't run for re-election but all us so called apologists make up a voting block to be reckoned with!

That's the problem. The last thing we need is "vapid" voters!

Ooorah! I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when they (democrats) lose house/senate seats this year.

Well I tried to answer what I thought was a silly question with silliness. Unfortunately I agree with you there are too many vapid voters. Vapid voters are what keeps our whole two party system afloat.

I'm not sure if that's a good thing. We should have more choices than that. And I will venture to guess, you feel the same way.

I'd love to see a revolution where the whole two party system is tossed out the window unfortunately those who are in control do a pretty good job at keeping us distracted. At this point I kind of view the "president" as a public relations mask so the real rulers of the universe can do their bidding behind closed doors. So I just vote for the "mask" that appeals to me personally all the while knowing it doesn't really make much of a difference either way.

Does this problem have a solution?

Oh I have no idea. In the long run it's most likely irrelevant as eventually I believe we will probably end up globally under one world government. I have no idea if this will happen in my lifetime but I think there's a great shot of it coming to fruition in my childrens lifetime. Globalization has made the world smaller and many of problems we face currently stem from the fact that you can't have pockets of the world that aren't caught up with the rest of the civilized world. Not when the world is such a small populated place. As nations who were once behind play catch up by sending more and more of our jobs overseas we will become less of a superpower and things will start to even out. People are going to feel alot of "growing pains" during this process but in the end I think it's inevitable. I'm not sure personally if a "new world order" so to speak is bad but its certainly something that won't be easily accepted by many. But more and more people are adapting and seem content enough with Big Brother guiding and molding them.

As far as the "presidential elections" here in the US I honestly don't believe it's possible for someone completely outside of the whole "game" to be elected. And while you'll hear people complaining about politics it's mostly "water cooler" complaining. The fact is most US citizens are relatively content and a content population is the easiest type of population to control.

One of the reasons the middle east is such a mess is that those people aren't easily distracted and they are far from content which makes them a force to be reckoned with.

surrender monkeys can come in American and French versions. The latter has more culture and less personal hygiene
