Who Won Last Night's Debate?

Who Won the Debate?

  • Total voters
    43
  • Poll closed .
I haven't watched one yet. They are kind of pointless at least this far out. Why get worked up either way when the establishment undoubtedly has already sold the slot to somebody anyway.

Over 90% of the moderators and questioners are there only for themselves, to get ahead being the one to give the best "got ya" question. Or, they are there to spread their media agenda by throwing tough questions at those they don't back and lobbing softball questions to those candidates they favor.

Would these be the truthful position on issues, or the regular word salad that means nothing coming from the oval?

They are quotes recorded from the past. I'd say he wants to see a lot less government in education and rightly so.

The idiots just don't realize that a socialist nominee guarantees a Trump victory and that doesn't even take into account that Howard Schultz said he would run as an independent if a socialist was the nominee, further bringing on a Trump second term.

The people you guys call "socialists" are actually ordinary liberals.
It's just that you've bought into the whole red-baiting thing so much that anything that isn't hardcore "con" simply MUST BE "socialism".
It's like being transported back to the Kefauver hearings.

There's a reason McCarthy and his lot were finally repudiated. America got sick of them.
Trump has managed to accomplish that in a fraction of the time it took America to tire of the House Un-American Activities Commission investigations.

Actually, Trump has got the most votes in the poll as of now.

Not with twenty-seven votes against him, he didn't.

  • Pete Buttgieg 7 20.59%
  • Bernie Sanders 5 14.71%
  • Elizabeth Warren 5 14.71%
  • Tulsi Gabbard 2 5.88%
  • Other 7 20.59%

Let's be honest, quotes from the past from this president mean nothing. I guess that you feel the private sector should be in charge of education. Or do you feel that only the states should be involved?

Poll incoming. The less memorable candidates will be grouped together under "Other" due to forum constraints.

Not much happening in the debate, no new ideas, settle for railing against Trump instead of laying out plans and solution of how to pay for them. It will be more interesting when its down to just a few the rest are sucking the air out of the space adn wasting time.

And vice versa. Do you think the right really cares how much Trump pushes all of your buttons, causing you guys to run around like chickens with their heads cut off? We already get it, you suffer from TDS.

What you don't seem to get is, it's not about him being on the Right, it's about the fact that you guys picked a dangerous con man who has lost his marbles. The Right gets a crack at running things every so often, then it's the turn of the folks on the Left for a while.
That's America.

We can argue and fight about con versus lib all day long and I don't have a problem with it.
Arguing like that can be productive, if both sides grant at least a modicum of respect to each other.

This is not about Trump being a Republican, try and grasp that.
Answer ME, Checkers...answer ME on this next one, Moderate Right...

Do you honestly believe that I would be saying and doing these things if Marco Rubio, John Kasich or Mitt Romney was POTUS?

I guess that you feel the private sector should be in charge of education.

Of course it should. Public schools are an expensive failure.

Why do you trust the private sector with food and housing? Because in the private sector we know those goods will get produce.

Expensive failure? Okay, let's go without for 20 years. How do you replace it?

Well, it's really nice to have those clips for future advertising.
If they can be torn down by clips of them in primary debates they don't deserve to win anyway.

I know how conservatives in California replaced it.
They deregulated the entire homeschooling issue, literally removed government oversight entirely.

And as a result, we wound up with some very interesting "home schools" with some very interesting student bodies, like the thirteen Turpin kids who were "home schooled" by David and Louise Turpin.

They call themselves socialists. Why should I disagree with them?

Who has he conned?

Liz Warren called herself a socialist? Harris? Klobuchar? Biden?
So far only Bernie is calling himself a socialist and he's not going to be POTUS.

Liz Warren called herself a socialist.
I'll wait for you to supply a link to that but I won't be waiting very long.

Go now and sin no more, partisan hack.

Who has he conned?

Are you going to answer my question or are you more interested in mimicking Fletch?

Do you honestly believe that I would be saying and doing these things if Marco Rubio, John Kasich or Mitt Romney was POTUS?

PS: Did you find that link to Liz Warren announcing that she is a socialist yet?

Warren and Biden are carbon copies of each other and he calls himself a socialist.

But who has he conned and what was the con? You said he has conned people.

Warren and Biden are carbon copies of each other and he calls himself a socialist.

"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command."

George Orwell - Nineteen Eighty-Four

Still waiting for the link.

Surrender duly noted.

Darn. I was really hoping you would list who was conned and what the cons were so I could debate you about it. But, your quick surrender is accepted. I have to admit I'm surprised that you couldn't even come up with one example.

Fact is, if Warren is the nominee socialism will be hung around her neck. She basically favors all the same policies Bernie does.

Socialism would be hung around the neck of any Democrat, even if that Democrat were economically to the right of Donald Trump.
