Why would Biden nominate someone who "sabotaged Obama's foreign policy" as the blurb says?

What about it is "really bad news for the United States", eh @sanman

You have to do more than post a link and announce that it is about something poopy.

She's a NeoCon warmonger, and a Deep Stater who's been able to work for Whitehouse administrations from both parties, to further her warmongering agenda.

A lot of name calling....

What did she do to offend YOU?

Help with the populist uprising that led to a Putin puppet being dethroned?

Nuland is a foolish and overambitious warmonger who wants to re-write the international order just to suit her own personal worldview.

She herself is of Ukrainian descent, btw.

Oh, and what war did she "warmonger" for?

And "re-write the international order"?

In what way?

Supporting Ukraine independence?

Bottom line is that she ousted a Democratically elected leader. You can't overthrow somebody just because they have pro-Kremlin leanings.

Viktor Orban of Hungary also leans toward Russia, and is very popular in his country. Calling someone illegitimate because of who they choose to align with is ridiculous.

Jan 6 2021 was a populist uprising too -- why don't you recognize that?

She's horrible because she helped remove a Putin puppet and corrupt bastard?

Seeing what Putin is yet again up to, I'd say having pro-Kremlin "leanings" is not a problem because it supposedly victimizes them or the Kremlin. The problem is that we ****ed up a whole lot of countries trying to do it during the Cold War. But then, Ukraine wasn't the same kind of intervention.

Oh, has word gone out that Trumpists should start explicitly owning every last bit of their attempt to destroy the first American republic and insist it was just? We're not pretending it was just a kegger until a bad apple showed up?

I am wary of Ms Nuland because of her spouse, the neo-conservative Robert Kagan, one of the cheerleaders for intervention in Iraq and Afghanistan.
After the spectacular failure and incredible human cost of GWB’s wars promoted by neocons, I instinctively distrust anything coming from them. There are other experts in foreign policy who don’t automatically default to the most hawkish position.

She didn't do it.

In the afternoon, the Rada voted 328-0 to remove Yanukovich from his post and to schedule a presidential election for 25 May.

The Rada. Not Nuland.

So what?

Whataboutism.
