Many on these boards, in an attempt to show our war as unnecessary, are asking: What is victory? When will we know it has been achieved? Who are we fighting? Who is the enemy?

One might want to ask these same questions of the newest democratic presidential candidates. Biden and Clinton seem to think there is an enemy.

Clinton Explains Role in Authorizing War

Clinton said her view is that the nation is engaged in a deadly fight against terrorism, a battle that she contends Bush has botched.

"I do think we are engaged in a war against heartless, ruthless enemies," she said. "If they could come after us again tomorrow they would do so."
