Who is a Christian and what is Christianity?

It's simple. One who FAITHFULLY follows and emulates Jesus daily is, in my OPINION, a Christian. I believe that they only need to believe and do the following.

Matthew 22:36-40
Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

John 13:34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

Galatians 5:13-14
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
 
The only being qualified to judge as to who is his faithful follower is our Lord and Savior himself, Jesus Christ. The verse below demonstrates that proclaiming oneself to be his follower doesn't necessarily make it so.

Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
 
Jesus calls those who do the will of God his "mother and brothers". What is the will of God? Love him and one another. That's it.

Matthew 12:46-50
While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothersa stood outside, asking to speak to him.b 48But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! 50For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

So, all those people who don't pray daily are now, what? Muslims? Heathens? Seems odd.

Did you really not notice that you're saying only Jesus can judge, but... you're here judging? Seems super weird.

If your goal is to proselytize, or to command people on how to be Christian, I think you're on the wrong website.
 
Acts 16:31 Believe on the LORD JESUS and you will be saved... It's really as simple as that.

Note: It doesn't say --- use the name JEHOVAH.

Christianity is one of the hundreds of religions invented by various culture over the last 40,000 years or so. It, like all the others, has no base in reality. Therefore any attempt to define it is quite pointless.

I looked at the original picture, it’s a black housefly. Pretty weird thing to use as an avatar. Doesn’t strike me as particularly Christian, as per the definition expressed in this thread.

Your helmet with the horns is way too tight. Do you even know what reality is? If you are going to tell me that you do accept spontaneous generation, billions of year (because that is the only godlessly acceptable way life with all its diversity could possibly occur according to the religion of atheism). And that World War I & World War II demonstrate pure accident and no one learned that nothing happens without a reason? Nothing is pointless or you wouldn't be here putting your two cents in.

You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!

We demonstrate our belief and devotion by trying to be like Christ. Those who believe but lead wicked lives have essentially rejected the faith. Jesus commands us to do the will of the Father, not our own will.

None can, but those who faithfully try to walk the narrow path will be saved and rewarded. That is Jesus's promise.

Does Jesus reject Christians in Matthew 7:21-23? And why does he do so? Is it because they claimed to be followers but didn't actually produce Godly fruit?
