... pretending to be Christian, going out to the red states and holding rallies with "amen" chants? Who had their daughter and her husband guiding him though the maze?
Donald Trump
and
Tayyip Erdogan
The blue states were Istanbul and Ankara.
All the red states were religious right Islam in the boondocks

To understand Turkey understand that Istanbul has been the center of three empires: Eastern Roman, Byzentine, and Outoman. Understand also that Russia is (was) the enemy of all three.
How long will Erdogan last?

1. The Eastern Roman Empire and the Byzantine Empire were the same thing

2. While Russia was the enemy of the Ottoman Empire, Russia was never an enemy of The Roman Empire. The formation of the modern Russian state happened AFTER the fall of Constantinople, and the previous Rus states were not hostile to Constantinople, usually just indifferent.
