House Democratic leaders yesterday distanced themselves from Howard Dean’s fiery rhetoric, saying that the outspoken Democratic Party chairman’s recent controversial statements do not speak for them.

At it's best, the Dems are a party built from the ground up, populists, as opposed to top down.
easyt65 said:I could understand that, and it makes since, but every party must have a leader or some type of organizational structure or they are not really a party at all, just a collective of individuals doing their own thing, which it seems is the case with the Democrats. I have never seen, as well, any party distance themselves from so many of its members yet declare that they are unified and have a plan.
