Why do you hate capitalism? Since when were speaking fees "bribery"?

The Trumpster makes millions off of corporate speeches, yet I don't see a thread from you about him. I wonder why that is.

Hey look, Hillary is a camping enthusiast..

03/19/2015, American Camping Association Atlantic City, NJ.: $260,000

She must buy her camping gear from eBay...

03/11/2015, eBay Inc. San Jose, Ca.: $315,000

Yep, she's just like you and me, not like that rich guy Trump.

03/13/2014, Drug Chemical and Associated Technologies New York, N.Y.: $250,000

I hope they passed out free samples at this one, I'd need a few to listen to Shrillary talk for an hour.

Trump got approx 1.5 MILLION per speech in 2015 according to forbes.

Fed chairmen treasury secs routinely get 200,000 to 400,000 per speech.

Condi Rice got 150,000 for a speech.

Dim bulb Sarah Palin got 100,000 at the height of her 'fame'.

I'd say there is a glass ceiling for women that Hillary has broken.

I'd say the real question is why do you hate women??? :peace

Wouldn't the shorter list be who did NOT bribe Hillary? ;)

Hillary isn't exactly Tony Robbins...why would anyone pay her that sort of money just to listen to her screechy, mundane voice?

I cant believe anyone in their right minds would pay either of them that kind of money for a speech.

You don't pay them cause the quality of the speech is worth that much. You pay them so that they show up so that you can sell tickets to your gala event or so you can invite important people and garner big donations for you cause etc. etc.

I wouldn't pay a band, any band, a million dollars to come and perform for me. But if I can sell a ten thousand tickets at $200 each then I can pay them a million bucks and keep a million for myself. Big name speakers get big attendance.

OK, I guess I wasn't thinking of it that way. Even still that kind of money is absurd.

Well, it costs what it costs. Giving a million bucks to a band is absurd for a single night of work, but if they have ten other events that they are doing and they are getting paid a million bucks for those other events, would they show up to my event for a hundred thousand? Probably not.

These type of speaking fees by a political candidate don't concern you? Also does the Trumpster have a list of speaking fees somewhere, I'd love to see it too.

Of course not, it's influence buying. Sure the candidates and the corporations say they can't be bought and the corporations say they aren't buying influence but actions speak louder than words and everyone knows what is really going on. IDK why the voters don't lose their collective mind over such goings on.

Because it is the norm these days and has been for a long long time, now if you want to see Real Bribery in action look into the Lobby system which has been subverting the Will of the People for as long as most people can remember.

where were these objections to speaking fees after leaving public office when ronnie reagan received $2 million for two speeches in japan. which negotiations were arranged while he was still in office (and showing onset of dementia)

And why is she hiding the transcripts of the speeches?

Exactly. According to some people who were at a Goldman Sachs speech, Hillary praised Goldman Sachs for how they handled the mortgage crisis.

According to him, Trump bribed Hillary. That's all I need to know.

Hillary was so in debt to Trump, that she was at his beck and call.

You can't get everything you want, I'd love to have a candidate on par with George Washington or Abraham Lincoln, but those kind of candidates aren't currently available.

We currently have a war on police officers. Trump is the only candidate with a chance of actually doing something about that.

After leaving public office there is no longer as much potential for those fees influencing public policy.
