There goes the Democrats' and other anti-Trumpers' whacko conspiracy theory that Trump is trying to hurt the USPS prior to the 2020 presidential election....

What will his political foes whine about next? So little time, so much faux outrage.

"Chief of Staff Meadows signals Trump would sign bill with stimulus checks, liability protection for small businesses, PPP extension and post office funding"

The White House is pushing for a congressional compromise on U.S. Postal Service funding and stimulus checks for individuals as House Democrats decry President Trump's threat to withhold funding for USPS and link it to the administration's opposition to universal mail-in voting.

TRUMP SAYS HE'S WILLING TO GIVE USPS MONEY IF DEMS CONCEDE TO 'SOME' FUNDING ASKS IN CORONAVIRUS RELIEF PACKAGE

"If my Democrat friends are all upset about this, come back to Washington, D.C.," White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows told CNN's "State of the Union." "Let's go ahead and get a stimulus check out to Americans. Let's make sure that small businesses are protected with an extended [Payroll Protection] Program and put the postal funding in there. We'll pass it tomorrow. The president will sign it."

Mail-in voting in 2020 is still going to be a slow-motion white-hot train-wreck. Expect huge numbers of disqualified ballots and massive cheating on both sides before, during and after the election.

Agree, but that won't be the fault of the president as the anti-Trump resistors/Democratic Party will have us believe. They're just shooting the usual crap and hoping it sticks.

It is almost as if planning should have started much earlier at all levels.

Blackmail?(LOL)

Most are just setting the table for four more years of investigations should they lose.

Though no doubt some actually believe the CT.

Then there's Stacey Abrams who th8nks she's both Governor of Georgia and Biden's running mate right now.

So "Give me what I want or I'll rig the election in my favor"?

Seriously?

So if businesses are freed from any liability and get their federal handouts then mail in voting will suddenly not be fraudulent?

You do hear what you're saying, right?

It is almost as if planning should have started much earlier at all levels.

The fact remains that the planning did not start much earlier, but the left doesn't care. They plan to move forward with universal mail-in voting anyway.

It's almost as if Democrats are already looking for reasons to not accept the 2020 election results should they lose.

That's what their latest scheme is really about... 2016 deja vu sans the Russians

Since when is a compromise between the legislative and executive called blackmail?

Was funding for the post office part of the stimulus bill or is it a whole different deal?

Where's Moscow Mitch? It takes three, not two to pass something.

The House passed their $3 trillion second stimulus bill 13 weeks ago.

What has Moscow Mitch been doing all this time? Oh yeah, he called a recess and left Washington last week.

That's some funny stuff you've imagined.

The federal and state governments should have known that a much greater need for mail-in voting may be necessary for the election all the way back in March and if that planning actually started neither side would have any issues. It is not like the election is an unforseen event. Elections Canada already started planning for a Fall election with a far greater need for mail-in voting that might not even happen a while ago. Why can't the US do it?

Us conservatives use to call these RINO's?

No one knew Trump and Louis DeJoy would be removing automatic mail sorters from post offices.

Where have you been?

The $3 trillion stimulus the House passed in May included $25 billion for the Post Office.

Funding for the US Postal Service: The bill contains $25 billion in funding for the US Postal Service. The coronavirus pandemic has exacerbated long-standing problems at the USPS, which is saddled with debt in part because of the modern ways Americans communicate. The agency doesn’t typically rely on taxpayer money, but Democrats and some Republicans have been looking at a way to bolster the postal service, which is incredibly popular with the American public. But the White House has resisted past efforts to prop up the program with federal funding.

Oh yes, the 3 TRILLION $ one

Yeah the dims were just throwing something at the wall to see if it sticks(Rolling eyes)

he's a lying, cult leading moron, and his loyalists have lost their minds. vote them all out.

put the sorting machines back. fund the post office. vote by mail.

You certainly didn't mind the 2017 GOP giving trillions in tax breaks to the wealthy.

2 weeks ago Pelosi and Schumer said they would meet the GOP in the middle -- $2 trillion in new stimulus funds.

I don't pay a Fed income tax

Which Party was willing to give up 1 TRILLION USD from their package, how much were the other guys willing to go up from theirs? The Dems had a package ready over 2 Months ago, the Repubs haven't gotten one done yet. Yes, the American People, especially those in need of assistance know who is holding up the Bill, clue it isn't the Dems.

The GOP just doesn't give a ****.

Let Americans eat cake. Let them be evicted. Let them be foreclosed. Let them stand in long voting lines during a pandemic.

The GOP just don't care for the people anymore - only corporations.
