You know, when Bush was in office, Liberals went nuts attacking his attempts to increase illegal surveillance in America. Now that Obama is in office, I am hearing crickets on this issue, but to anyone who values the Constitution, this IS an issue. The Constitution is a sacred document, and not something for wiping your ass with. The Obama administration is seeking to make it easier for the FBI to compel companies to turn over records of an individual's Internet activity without a court order if agents deem the information relevant to a terrorism or intelligence investigation.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Voters, HERE is the hope and change you ordered. And, to you Democrats, why should you care about this issue, since a guy with a "D" after his name occupies the Oval Office now? Because, if you allow Obama to continue the government's assault on Constitutional principles, America continues down a slippery slope towards a dictatorship. A future president and congress, possibly Republican, possibly Democrat, possibly other, may put an end to the grand experiment begun more than 230 years ago by our forefathers, because partisanship became more important than patriotism.
when asked what kind of government we were going to have, Benjamin Franklin replied "A Republic, if we can keep it". This question, once asked of Franklin, is the burning question in today's times. Some questions are ageless, and some answers end ages. I dearly hope we find the right answer this time. We had better. It is staring us right in the face.
