New Scandal -

The problem with Rove's Powerpoint presentations is not that he is targeting Democrats, but that J. Scott Jenning, an aide to Karl Rove, presented these slides to employees of the GSA, with the blessing the GSA Director Lurita Alexis Doan, who assured him that Jenning could use GSA contacts. This is a violation of the Hatch Act - A Felony.

Everytime a new scandal like this comes up I always wonder what justification or excuse the Bush apologists are going to use for it this time.

I wonder what tomorrows scandal will be.

How can one justify a felony?

Letters have now been sent from Congress to both Karl Rove and Fred Fielding, the current White House Counsel, demanding answers. Turns out that tax money is also involved, another felony, in addition to the violation of the Hatch Act.

So many scandals, so little time. More subpoenas coming soon, and executive privilege does not apply here either.

So the ends justify the means, even if that means breaking Federal laws? What you are advocating is right out of the philosophies of Karl Marx and Josef Stalin.

Don't compare Marx and Stalin!

Don't compare Marx and Stalin!

And why not? Although their methods were different to some extent, their use of "the ends justify the means" was for the same reason.

LOL Somehow I doubt you would be saying the same thing if the roles were reversed. This wholly inappropriate behavior within a government agency. There's a reason we have what is called the "Hatch Act."

Yeah, who cares about SS, Medicare, etc., when there are people who are running for presidents with sick wives, there are terrorists hiding under our beds and queers are wanting to get married? More important issues to deal with.

Wanna talk about un****ing believable? It is un****ing believable that if this was a democrat scandal that you wouldn't sink your teeth into it and refuse to let go.

Pot, meet kettle.

Believe what you want my friend but there is to many important issues to worry about then all this partisan politics........

It's nice to see that you're against Bush's tax cuts and against law enforcement....

I have no clue where you come up with these wild statements...I guess that is why I ignore most of your posts.........

Yeah....don't concern yourself about "ethics" in government. That is just a petty concern.
Guess your hero's speech about "restoring honor and integrity to the whitehouse" was just a Rove talking point to get elected.

Democrat or Republican my left wing friend I would feel the same way........Believe what you want............

It takes 2 to tango and people like you hate this President and Carl Rove that short of death there is nothing they can say or do that would satisfy you.................Sad.......

I have no personal hate for the man that you refer to as a great and inspired world leader.

What I do have hate for is ignorance, incompetence and deceit. All things that this "leader" was demonstrated for the past several years.

Its one thing to talk about having integrity and another to display it.

Unlike you....I won't apologize and support everything a person does to promote a political agenda. Personally, I long for the day that we will have someone in the whitehouse that will restore America to what it once was. A real leader who will bring this Country together rather than trying to tear it apart by using wedge issues to push a social political agenda.

I don't care if it is a Republican, Democrat or other.

I was about to thank your post because it was very nicely put until I read the bolded part. I just don't believe that coming from you.

You obviously don't know me. I have said I would consider voting for Giuliani. I am not anti-Republican as long as they are moderate. I would also consider voting for any independent or third party candidate if they have a legitimate chance of winning (I don't believe in throwing my vote away for principle). There was a time that I would have considered voting for McCain...until his recent implosion.

The Office of the Special Counsel has just confirmed to ABC News that the chief of the GSA is now the subject of a criminal investigation for violating the Hatch act, that is, using her position to conduct partisan political activity at the government's and taxpayers' expense. This is a felony.

Doesn't matter if she did or didn't. She offered Federal employees to do work on the taxpayers' dime for partisan political activities, and got caught.
