"Goal to make clear this is unacceptable"? That sounds like some teacher scolding a kid who farted in class.

"Not about regime change"?

"Brief in duration and limited in scope"?

Almost 2-years ago to the day, Obama stated "Assad must go."
So... they'll fire a few bombs, but do not seek to take out someone who has committed crimes against humanity?

A year ago Obama stated something about a "Red Line".

To add to our Amateur Hour on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, he's telling Assad and his crew that they'll only bomb for a couple days... and then change it to hours so it sounds more palatable.

This guy could say in public that water is dry and fire is cold and there will be hyperpartisan sycophants that will nod and cheer....

This is shaping up like Clinton's efforts at being a leader: nothing more than a chimpanzee thumping its chest at the zoo. And after years of ineffective response to attacks in Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania, Yemen, et al, we got 9/11. The only "success" Clinton had was when he rented the Air Force out to the narcotics kings and human traffickers of the KLA so he could claim some sort of phony moral high ground and distract from his inattention to Darfur. Now it looks like Obama is going to copy that playbook and make a big public display of ineffectively slapping the wrist of one party or the other.

What quarterback telegraphs his plays? Unless it is a work of deception, and I don't think Obama is doing that.

Obama is seeming very Clintonesque, and Clinton made the terrorist fear America less and less, with the culmination being 911.

I was amazed when Barack Obama was elected president and appalled when he was re-elected. Not a day goes by that I don't wonder, "How did this man get to be president of the United States and what has happened to American voters?"

Right now, there are far too many people willing to accept Obama's dithering, spineless incompetence.

I want this nation and it's allies to take action against the Assad regime but it's already too late, and with Obama leading from behind we can already count on it being too little.

He got there by saying the right things the right way. You don't have to do anything to become president. You have to say better things than other people do and say them more eloquently. What has happened to the American voters is that the takers now outnumber the producers.
