No "they knew the attack was coming and did nothing to stop it". No "there was a secret mission involving Ambassador Stevens that went horribly wrong". No! Issa doesn't focus on those things. Instead, he's hell bent on trying to prove a cover-up over a narrative which ultimately was changed to address a terrorist attack.

The reason Issa won't let this issue go isn't because he believes the Obama Administration decided on a specific narrative once they learned of the attack or that talking points were changed or some argument over who changed them. None of that really matters. What Issa and the Republican Party is after is something concrete to nail Hillary Clinton to the wall ahead of the 2016 presidential elections. And the longer he can keep Benghazi in the public consciousness, the more he/they believe Hillary can be discredited.

And you call yourself objective voice?????? The Obama administration's response to any scandal is "stonewall...do not cooperate...just attempt to ride it out".

The handle I use is irrelevant. Everyone has the right to assert their 5th Amendment rights. Furthermore, let's not act as if past Administrations haven't redacted certain "classified" documents nor hide under "national security" just so as not to put themselves between a legal rock and a hard place. I'm in no way defending such actions; I think it's a cop out personally. Nevertheless, it's the role of special investigator/prosecutor to find the evidence to prove his case stonewalling or not. And so far, Issa hasn't done that. So, as I said, he'll keep looking but based on what's been presented to date AND his line of reasoning, I really don't think Issa's looking for the truth. He's just looking for something to go "gotach" against Hillary Clinton. It's become personal to him and his party.

24 Consecutive 5th ammendment pleas is a horrible way to counter a " Witch Hunt ".

Dont you think ? A witch hunt by definition is outside of the law, its persecution.

Since there is nothing to these scandals, nothing to Benghazi, then the best way to asdress these " made up scandals " is to tell the truth.

Be as open and transparent as possible.

Otherwise all your'e doing is lending credibility to the GOP's accusations and stretching out the issue.

But thats not what the Obama administration is doing.

They have much to hide.

She's claiming the Fifth for one reason.

They've decided that perpetuating the scandal AND adding legitimacy to the GOPs assertions is better than telling the truth.

The truth has to be so damaging, so explosive that the Democrats have decided to legitimize what amounts to unprecedented corruption.
